It's National Summer Learning Week! Led by the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA), National Summer Learning Week is a nationwide celebration that elevates the importance of summer learning in keeping kids engaged, safe, and healthy during the summer months.
Summer Learning Week brings together summer programs, educators, community leaders, and policymakers to help communities raise awareness about the importance of summer learning and celebrate the programs making a difference.

The Spring Award Report due date is June 23 in DAAconnect; this report will capture youth data, attendance, and a program narrative for January 1-June 3, 2025.

We highly encourage you to complete your report and/or communicate any challenges to our team as early as possible! Our team is small and we may not be able to help everyone that may require assistance before the due date at this point.

Help Us Spread the Word About the Importance of Summer Programs!

Schools are closed for 11 weeks this summer - Denver's young people rely on summer programs to participate in enriching activities, prevent learning loss, connect with caring adults, access healthy meals.
In order to bring awareness to the importance and impact of these critical programs & camps we would like our partner organizations to create social media posts with our “The Best Thing About Summer Program…” photo props.

Here's how you can participate:

1. Ask youth about their favorite thing about their Summer Program

2. Print our Summer Quotes Photo Props. Use the following links for the props:

4. Post on Social Media and tag us with the caption: "The best thing about my Summer Program is…"
