The DJ Armstrong Foundation is seeking dedicated and passionate leaders to join our Board of Directors.

Our mission is to address the spectrum of youth violence through Prevention, Responsiveness, and Advocacy. Through the DJ. Armstrong Foundation, we empower youth, support families, and advocate for systemic change to build healthier, safer communities.

We’re looking for individuals with experience in community engagement, advocacy, or nonprofit leadership who are committed to making a meaningful impact.

The DJ Armstrong Foundation is committed to uplifting youth who are making a meaningful impact in our communities. In loving memory of Davarie Armstrong, the DJ Armstrong Scholarship honors outstanding young people who lead with purpose whether through athletics, activism, education, or community leadership.

This scholarship is open to 2024–2025 high school graduates who have participated in athletics in any sport and demonstrate a clear commitment to their future whether by planning to attend college, start a business, or pursue a trade.

We are looking for youth who show up for their peers, speak out against violence, and use their talents on the field, in the classroom, or in their communities to drive positive change. Our recipients are the teammates, mentors, and role models who lead with heart and action.

Through this award, we honor Davarie’s legacy by supporting the next generation of scholars and athletes who are committed to creating safer, stronger communities.

Award will be presented out at The Parkhill Pirates Legends Day Event 8/9/2025 at Skyland Park 5600 e 35th Ave.

Friday, June 6th @ 6PM | Wash Park | Denver, CO

Run, walk, roll, or ride in honor of Davarie and help send kids to Young Life camp while supporting scholarships through the DJ Armstrong Foundation.

This is a 5K for EVERYONE – bring your friends, your kids, your wheels, and your spirit!

The Davarie Armstrong Foundation is committed to making a positive impact in our community. In memory of Davarie Armstrong

This $2,100.00 scholarship is awarded to an outstanding youth who demonstrate a strong commitment to improving our community and who is actively engaged in efforts to prevent gun violence and shows up as a leader and has intentions to pursue higher education.
We believe in the power of youth to drive meaningful change, By supporting young leaders who show up in numerous ways—whether through activism, athleticism, community service, education, or peer support—we aim to honor Davarie’s legacy and inspire others to continue the important work of creating safer communities.

Our scholarship recipients are individuals who not only understand the importance of preventing gun violence but also take proactive steps to make a difference. They are the voices of change, the hands that build, and the hearts that heal. Through this scholarship, we recognize and support their dedication to making our world a safer place for everyone
