Led by Licensed Professional Counselor and fly-fishing enthusiast Chas Neal, this session explores how unrealistic expectations and shame can hold us back, and how embracing imperfection can help us grow in the areas that matter most.

Grab a seat at the vise — or just pull up a chair and watch. This is a relaxed, casual gathering open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced fly tier or picking up a bobbin for the first time. No pressure to tie; you’re welcome to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy the company. Bring your own gear if you’ve got it, or use what we have on hand.

We’ll have a table at this free annual outdoor expo, where you can stop by to learn about Fishing the Good Fight, chat with our community, and explore what fly fishing is all about — whether you’re curious, experienced, or somewhere in between. It’s a great chance to connect with other folks who love getting outside, and to discover how fishing can be part of building real community.
