Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation

The Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. Many families don't have the money to do this and that's where we help.

We support the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Fisher House located in Aurora, Colorado. The Foundation provides lodging to military and veteran families at a FH or hotel. When an active duty military member or veteran is hospitalized we believe he or she should be able to have their family bedside. For many families that means traveling miles to a VA hospital and staying weeks or months in a hotel, wh

ich would cost these families thousands of dollars. The Foundation supports the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Fisher House which provides families with FREE lodging for as long as their loved one is receiving care at the VA hospital or approved facility. Our motto is that no one should have to go through a medical procedure alone and that family love is the best medicine. Families staying at the Fisher House stay in private rooms with their own bathroom and have access to a shared living room, dinning room and kitchen. There are also laundry facilities they can use for free. The Foundation makes sure the house's pantry has snacks, bottled water and that every room has clean linens. Most importantly we want to make sure the house is well maintained and remains a place of comfort for these families, which is why if something is needed at the house, we make sure to step in right away and provide it. We also provide free transportation for families to and from the airport if needed.

Taco Tuesday was a success as the Rocky Mountain Fisher House. Pharmacy Residents took command of the kitchen. Their energy, laughter and delicious dinner brought smiles to everyone. Thank you!

Our friends at McKinstry volunteered at the house and cleaned, baked, did yardwork and decorated. The house looks and smells amazing! Thank you for all your hard work!

Exciting news! Beautiful new landscaping has been stalled at the Rocky Mountain VA Fisher House. Including adding a patio with new benches. We want to create the best experience for our veteran families staying at our house and hope they enjoy these improvements.
