Putting together a Peaceful Protest in Park Hill for those of us who cannot go to Downtown Denver. If you have kids, mobility challenges, anxiety, need a gentle community- we will bring a table and some art supplies and some snacks- please join us! We will be at Turtle Park which is shaded and right across from HoneyHill and Spinellis at 1pm. If you want to join a protest or hold your own check out www.nokings.org.

For those of y’all headed to the Capital on Wednesday. Some rules for the road:

1. Carry ID

2. Turn off all biometric info and location tracking on your digital devices

3. Tell someone where you are going and when you expect to return and who to contact if you become unreachable.

4. Carry (not on your phone) a list of possible attorneys you can call if arrested

5. Hydrate before and during

6. Map recon the protest site before going. Identify multiple escape avenues.

7. Carry first aid kit if possible

8. Know your rights and the local laws. This includes rules on not obstructing pedestrians, buses, etc.

9. If you intend to commit any civil disobedience then be prepared to be arrested. Coordinate for an attorney and bail beforehand.

10. Call out anyone who advocates violence or tries to damage property.

11. Record any interactions with the potential to turn violent. Video can be crucial evidence for both criminal trials and public opinion.
