Sorry I missed Wreaths Out at Logan.

My feet and legs were not liking the weather shift.

That and pipe leak had me home.

Time to start thinking about Citadel Muster, usually March 20th.

Any ideas?

Thinking of an "All In Colorado Citadel Family Zoom" evening gathering.

Early February....

Is there a week night that is better for most?

Thinking a Wednesday, after dinner 6:30pm (1830) for 45 min to hour.....

Let me know thoughts

Wreaths Across America Removal Day at participating Colorado Cemeteries

Saturday 10 January 2026
Between 8:00am and 1:00pm (0800-1300)

Denver forecast no precipitation, 43degF high 27degF low

Best to dress in layers

Hat, sun glasses, sun screen

Work Gloves

Water for hydration, Snacks for energy

I like a long sturdy wooden staff or tool handle to "scoop" the wreaths thru the circle and walk to collection points on the curb

I can do 5 no big deal, more if I stretched first!

I like to bring a couple of large black yard bags to pick up bits of trash to help leave the area better than before

Placement for me was Honoring and Remembering by saying their name aloud

Removal for me is Giving Thanks for their Families and Loved Ones in supporting them just before I start.

And a prayer for Families and Loved Ones Peace and Comfort when I finish up

NEVER FORGET, FREEDOM ISN'T FREE

Service Before Self

Honor. Duty. Respect.

Fort Logan is only one of many Colorado Wreaths Across America Volunteer opportunities on Saturday 13 December 2025

Our Long Grey Line is throughout the Centennial State, find a location near you and give back

As a 1974 grad, carrying armloads of wreaths on a rope or climbing webbing is far astern of my current journey!

I bring one of those collapsible garden wagons!

Dress for the weather!! Layers are best. Wool socks and sturdy shoes/boots. Beanie. Gloves.

Hat and sunglasses. Sun screen if sunny.

Of course, water for hydration. Favorite snacks for energy.

Bring a kitchen garbage bag and do double duty, pick up any trash you see.

Place wreath leaning on headstone with ribbon down. Step back, come to attention, if you Served and are a Veteran HAND SALUTE, say their rank full name and Service component at a minimum, READY TWO! Add anything that is on headstone or you may known of consequence.
