The Greater Colorado Council, BSA is proud to announce our new Council Boatswain for Sea Scouts, Eleanor S!

Eleanor S (she/her)

I am 15 years old and have been in scouting since I was 6 years old, when I started with our local scout group in Bristol, England. I moved to the USA in 2019 and joined a local troop to continue my adventure here. I am currently serving as SPL for Troop 311. My Eagle Scout rank is nearly complete, I’m waiting for my board of review and I am Apprentice in Ship 311. I attended NYLT last year and staffed Week 1 this year, and am going to be staffing PV for a week this summer.

I love scuba diving, and mainly dive with Ship 324. Our latest trip to Roatan was amazing and I finished my Advanced Open Water rating there. I went on Cavalcade at Philmont last year with Troop 2119 and look forward to helping organize a similar trip for my troop in 2024.

I’m excited to take on the role of Council Boatswain and hope I can bring new ideas and get new people involved in Sea Scouting.

Greater Colorado Council, BSA is proud to announce the new Venturing Officers Association President for the remainder of 2023, Angel Levin!

Angel Levin (she/they)

I’m currently 20 years old and serving as Crew President for Crew 563. I am an Eagle Scout and I am nearly done with my Summit rank in Crew. I am active in the OA assisting ceremonies, bistro, service and medical. I also support the RATS (range and target sports) program where I recently ran the archery range for our annual Shootzenfet event.

I have been on MSR @ PV camp staff for 5 years and I am returning this summer in a leadership position as Cycling Director.

Recently, I attended Woodbadge and I am working my ticket now. I am passionate about promoting inclusivity in the scouting program and my goals for my ticket reflect that.

I’m excited to take on this role as VOA President and will do my absolute best to fulfill my responsibilities for the term and spread more awareness to youth about the venturing program so that others may benefit.
