Our favorite paw-fessional greeter is celebrating a big milestone 🐾

Fancy officially turned 10 years old, and she celebrated with a peanut butter birthday cake that she politely enjoyed in… two bites.

For many guests arriving at Reba’s Ranch House, Fancy is the first friendly face they meet. Her wagging tail and sweet eyes have welcomed families from across the country, bringing a little comfort and joy during difficult days. ♥️

Moments like this give our board and team the chance to connect with one another without meeting notes or agendas and to experience the mission in a different way.

Visiting Reba's Place in Atoka felt especially meaningful. Reba has entrusted Texoma Community Foundation with her only named nonprofit, Reba’s Ranch House, and her only named fund, the Reba McEntire Fund through Texoma Giving Partners, which helps distribute dollars to causes close to her heart. It is a responsibility we hold with deep respect.

Seeing the concert posters displayed there, the same ones that hang in the hallways at Reba’s Ranch House, felt like a sweet parallel. A reminder of how generosity and care can live across different spaces while still telling the same story.

We are grateful to the team at Reba’s Place, especially Laura and Dana, for the warmth and hospitality they shared with us. It was the kind of visit that makes you look forward to the next one. 🫶

💗 We’re Spreading the Love in Texoma and We’d Love for You to Join Us 💗

This Valentine’s season, love looks like showing up for families who are walking through some of their hardest days.

Reba’s Ranch House exists to care for the caregivers, providing rest, meals, and a sense of peace for families who must put life on pause to stay near a hospitalized loved one. Moments of connection and encouragement truly matter, and this event is a beautiful way to be part of that care.

We are incredibly grateful to Snellings Law Firm for hosting this Valentine’s Day event in the First United Community Room at the Texoma Community Foundation, all in support of families staying at Reba’s Ranch House.

We strongly encourage our community to come out and attend. Your presence, your kindness, and even a few encouraging words can make a meaningful difference.

Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader who showed us that courage, compassion, and service can change the world.

Dr. King believed that everyone could make a difference, not through grand titles, but through a genuine commitment to serve others. That belief lives on in the work we do every day at Reba’s Ranch House, walking alongside families with compassion, care, and hope.

💙 Room for Hope
Located inside Reba’s Ranch House, the Room for Hope serves individuals experiencing hair loss by providing free wigs, each one professionally fitted by a trained volunteer. We also offer breast prostheses and supportive items such as port covers—all at no cost.
Appointments are available by calling to schedule, ensuring privacy, care, and personal attention for every individual.

Yesterday morning, Mitch drove a coworker through Starbucks for coffee and picked up a few extra cups for our team members as well. ☕️
Mitch has a special way of showing up for people and with people in the most genuine, everyday ways.

Whether it’s grabbing coffee, taking us to get oil changes, or quietly handling the many things he does around the Ranch House, his thoughtfulness never goes unnoticed. We simply want to say thank you, Mitch, for all you do for the Ranch House and for our team.

🎉🐾 A VERY Special Check-In at Reba’s Ranch House! 🐾🎉

This past weekend we celebrated the Hulsey family — our newest guests AND a major milestone for our very own house dog, Fancy! The Hulseys are officially the 100th guests that Fancy has personally “checked in,” and we couldn’t be more excited (or proud!) to share this moment. 💙✨

If you’re new around here, Fancy isn’t just our four-legged friend…
She’s our Ranch House Working Dog — the kind who clocks in every day ready to serve with purpose, compassion, and plenty of tail wags.

🐶💼 Fancy’s “Working Dog” Duties Include:
• Making her daily rounds to greet guests and staff
• Sniffing out stress, heavy hearts, and long travel days
• Delivering comfort, cuddles, and emotional support on demand
• Ensuring every guest feels welcomed, seen, and safe
• Maintaining the warm, peaceful atmosphere our hospitality house is known for
• Providing morale boosts and smiles — her specialty

While we have fun celebrating her job, Fancy truly works here. She senses when someone needs comfort, when a guest could use a gentle distraction, or when a simple wag of her tail might lift someone’s spirit. She softens hard moments and brings a level of calm and connection that only a dog with her heart can offer. 💛🐾

And none of this would be possible without our amazing team.
To everyone who keeps snacks at their desks — THANK YOU for fueling Fancy in her “workday” duties.

A special shoutout goes to Linda, and especially Mitch, who take care of Fancy day in and day out. She thrives because of you, and we appreciate all you do for her and for our guests.
