Supporting the next generation of leaders is something we take great pride in. The Mangano Family Foundation and Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island were honored to award five $1,000 scholarships to deserving Longwood High School students who have strong ties to our local fire departments, either through their own service or through a family member's dedication to the fire service.

Each recipient was selected by their respective fire chief, making these awards especially meaningful. We are grateful for the continued support of our local fire departments and are always honored to stand alongside them in recognizing these outstanding young men and women.

A special thank you to Councilman Michael A. Loguercio Jr., an active member of the Ridge Fire Department, for helping present the scholarship to Ridge's recipient.

Congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients: Noah Wheate (Coram), Kathleen Alt (Middle Island), Candida Mazzie (Ridge), Spencer Austin (Yaphank), and Maya Adams (Gordon Heights).

We wish each of these students continued success as they pursue their educational and career goals. Their hard work, commitment, and connection to our local communities make us all proud.

In celebration of America's 250th Birthday, the Mangano Family Foundation and Mangano Family Funeral Homes are proud to give back to our community by offering complimentary 3' x 5' American flags while supplies last.

Flags are available for pickup Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all three Mangano Family Funeral Homes locations, Deer Park, Middle Island and Riverhead.

We invite local families to proudly display the Stars and Stripes at their homes, businesses, and community gatherings.
Let's celebrate 250 years of America together.

We are proud to partner with our neighbors to bring a new Little Library to Tiber Avenue Park in Deer Park, and we’re thankful to the Town of Babylon - Government for providing the space to make this community resource possible.

Representing the Mangano Family Foundation and Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc., our President, Sal Mangano, was honored to join Senior Pastor Da’Shun Burrell of First Baptist Church of Deer Park, along with Lamont Wilson, Valerie St. Bernard, and Eddie St. Bernard, for this special community initiative.

A Little Library is a special place where stories are shared, connections are made, and a love of reading can grow for generations to come.

We are grateful to work alongside the Concerned Citizens of Deer Park and the Deer Park Community Association - DPCA.

The community showed up in a big way for our Paper Shredding Event at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park. Thank you to everyone who came out and participated. By only halfway through the event, we had already filled the shred truck with nearly 13 tons of paper and had to quickly arrange for a second mobile shred unit to continue the shredding process

We’re grateful for the incredible turnout and support from the community, and it’s always a pleasure partnering with Legal Shred and their outstanding team to help provide this important service safely and securely.

During National Police Week, the Mangano Family Foundation proudly recognizes the dedicated law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to protect our communities each and every day.

We honor the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of those who serve and remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Please join us in taking a moment to thank the men and women behind the badge.

Sal Mangano was joined by Catholic Charities of Long Island CEO Michael Smith and Board Chairman Bill Ayers on the latest segment of the Mangano Family Foundation’s Doing Good show.

We had a very inspiring conversation about faith, community and the importance of serving others with compassion, kindness and purpose.

A mother’s compassion has the power to uplift and inspire us. Today we celebrate the women whose love, compassion and grace have shaped our lives, our families, and our communities every single day.

The Mangano Family Foundation is deeply grateful for every mother and mother figure whose heart continues to make the world a gentler and more caring place, and the lasting legacies of those we have lost.

Happy Mother’s Day!

The Mangano Family Foundation is proud to celebrate local businesses and the impact they have on our communities.

This National Small Business Week we honor our team at Mangano Family Funeral Home, Inc. and all small businesses that make up the backbone of our economy. They support families, create jobs, and give back in meaningful ways.

As a foundation rooted in those same values, we’re honored to support the initiatives and organizations that strengthen the communities we serve.
