Nick's Mission Backpack Program Nick's Mission Backpack Program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization helping hungry school children in our area schools and daycare programs.

Nick's Mission is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides nutritious food to children in our area schools and daycares on the weekends and holidays throughout the school year. Nick's Mission Backpack Program was founded in honor and memory of a precious 8-year-old little boy, Nick Shumake, who tragically lost his life along with his grandparents in a flash flood at Albert Pike Campground on June 11, 2010, along with seventeen others. It is our goal that no child goes home without something to eat. Without proper nutrition children suffer in so many ways. Would you join us and help to provide backpacks filled with nutritious food and snacks to school children? Our organization is funded solely through donations. Would you support our mission! You can make a difference and help change a child's life! You can donate at https://venmo.com/u/NicksMission-BackpackProgram.

Thank you so much to the DHS Student Council and our First Baptist DeKalb family for helping us make our first ever Thanksgiving Box Drive a success!!! We packed and passed out over 50 boxes to families in our community and that would not have been possible without the love and support from everyone who donated food and money and volunteered their time! Thank you and God bless! Happy Thanksgiving!
