The DeKalb FD participated in an integrated response training held at DeKalb ISD on June 20-21, 2025. The training was provided by ALERRT. It provides Fire, EMS, 911 Tele-communicators, and Law Enforcement training to respond to active attacks as a group with scenario based response. Our department strives to provide the best response and care to our local community.

We thank Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, DeKalb ISD, Texas Department of Public Safety, Mount Pleasant PD, LifeNet and the other organizations that participated in this training.

Through the efforts of DeKalb VFD/ ESD 6 there will be an integrated response training held at DeKalb ISD on June 20-21, 2025. The training is provided by ALERRT. If you see these first responders at our campuses on these dates, do not be alarmed. At DeKalb ISD the safety of students, staff and visitors is a top priority.
