This award reflects the generosity of our supporters, the dedication of our volunteer board members, and the many people who believe in our mission. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and make a positive impact together.

What is East Texas Giving Day?

East Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour day of giving that provides critical funding for our area nonprofits. The purpose of an area-wide Giving Day is to bring the region together on one day and as one community, raising money and awareness for East Texas nonprofits.

Over the past 2 years, students across the campuses of DeKalb ISD have been given the opportunity to leave the classroom and gain hands-on, real world experiences….Bass Hall, Dallas Children’s Museum, Kidzania, Caldwell Zoo, just to name a few.

This is all made possible by:

Another amazing transformation made possible by a grant from the Education Foundation, students now have a place to collaborate, create, and let their imaginations run wild. 🎨

Our JLGMS 7th grade ELA classroom recently received all new furniture 🤩

This was made possible by an Education Foundation grant and has helped create a welcoming space where students can learn, collaborate, and grow.

Huge shout out and thank you to Mrs. Narens for going the extra mile for her students and applying for this grant. Your dedication makes a real difference! We hope you enjoy your upgraded classroom space. 🧡

Keep in mind that when you give to the DeKalb Education Foundation 100% of the funds go back into the classrooms to further support the needs of our students and teachers 🐻
