🏈 Dartmouth Indians Youth Football League – Week 5 Presidents Recap 🏈
Rivalry Week vs. New Bedford Bears

6U – WIN 24-18
What. A. Game. 🔥 Our youngest Indians pulled out a nail-biter with a huge defensive stand on the final play at the 2-yard line!
• Offense:
• Justin Vieira – 1 rushing TD
• Grayson Gaspar – 1 rushing TD
• Parker Carvalho – 2 rushing TDs
• Defense:
• Memphis Walker & Max Beck combined for countless tackles and delivered the game-saving stop to secure the win.

8U – WIN 43-12
The 8U squad continues its dominant season with another explosive performance on both sides of the ball 💪
• Offense:
• Silas Blevines – 4 TDs (2 rushing, 2 passing) ➡️ now at 12 TDs on the year!
• Nolan Rossi – 2 rushing TDs, 72 yards
• Kendrick Moniz – 2 rushing TDs, 111 yards
• Collin Tappen – 2 catches, 2 TDs (perfect day receiving)
• Gavin Tavenner – hard-nosed “boom stick” runs, including a conversion up the middle
• Defense:
• Silas Blevines – 8 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and an insane strip-and-catch mid-air before halftime 🔥
• Jayce Dos Anjos – key fumble recovery turnover.

10U – WIN 12-0 (5-0 on the season)
Another week, another SHUTOUT! 💯 Our boys fought through a tough one but came out victorious.
• Eli’sha – ran tough all game and scored 1 of the 2 TDs.
• Oliver (“Baby Gronk”) – made a big-time play to spark the team.
• Reynaldi – too much to handle in the trenches, serving pancakes all day with butter & syrup 🥞
• Nico – stepped up defensively with key stops.
Proud of this squad for keeping the streak alive—rolling into Edgewood next week on the road 🚀

12U – LOSS 14-26
Tough one for the 12U team this week against a strong opponent. Coach Jeremy and the boys will regroup and bounce back stronger 💪

14U – LOSS 7-26
This 14U group is improving every week and their progress is showing on both sides of the ball:
• Offense: AJ Martin scored the first TD of the season, and Carter added the first extra point. Both have been putting in work off the field by studying plays and it’s paying off.
• Defense: The team earned its first five defensive stops of the year, led by Tristan Thompson with 10 tackles and some crushing hits.
Growth week by week—this squad is turning the corner!

💚🤍 Rivalry week brought out the fight in every Dartmouth team. Three big wins, a rivalry shutout, and strong progress across all levels. Let’s carry this momentum into Week 6!

Our Cheerleaders as always were stellar and brought out the best in the boys! Some very acrobatic back hand springs and walkovers! Our Cheerleaders won the you got served halftime battle against New Bedford. ( ok I made that up) but I feel like they did best! Especially our Jr P*e Wee Team! They were in synch most of the day and brought the stunts and energy all game long!

Ok my DYFL Parents! We are opening up an apparel store in the next couple days and I am going to be placing an order for duffle bags and back packs first. This is a personalized duffle bag and Back pack. The Medium Duffle bag is perfect for smaller kids shoulder pads and helmets and football gear. We also have the large duffle bag which is perfect for the older kids and their football gear and other sports and their gear! Anyone is free to order from the website. This order is tracking to be in by week two of our DYFL season as long as we purchase by TUESDAY NIGHT(Aug 19th) These duffle Bags and back packs can be for all sports! Send your child to practice and games knowing their gear and personal belongings are protected! The link for the bags should be up today and I will post in the comments. So just comment under this post that you are interested and you should see the link once it’s posted. DYFl is buying Duffle bags for each football team for our footballs and gear. I am buying one for both my sons. One is playing DYFL 8U and the other is playing Dartmouth High School JV/Varsity. We made a White and Green for the High School players also! DYFL will be Black/Green and White/Green this year. I know the varsity basketball team had black and green jerseys this year also. Maybe you want one of these bags also.

This just in from the DYFL board. If you get a 6U player to join by next Thursday your player and the friend that joins both get a Fortnite or Roblox card worth $25. If they like another game we can get a different card. Tell your kids to talk to their friends and tell them to register here

🚨🚨🚨 Important!! Everyone in DYFL should have already emailed their report cards to Erica at the email below!! If you haven’t you need to do it before the end of today! We will be putting out a message with your kids name on it if you haven’t done it by the end of the day! Don’t be on THE LIST!

Please get those report cards over to me asap. Time is running out for middle school parents. You have a day or two to save them before they leave Aspen. Send them to [email protected]
