💜🐴 WOMEN LIFTING WOMEN. HEARTS OPENING. BURDENS FEELING A LITTLE LIGHTER. 🐴💜

What a beautiful afternoon at Hope in a Horseshoe for our latest Revival for Recovery Inc. workshop!

Today was about so much more than spending time with horses. It was about connection, vulnerability, encouragement, healing, and women showing up for other women.

There is something incredibly powerful that happens when women come together in a safe space and realize:

You are not alone. ❤️

We talked. We listened. We connected. We laughed. We released some of the things we’ve been carrying.

And by the end of the afternoon, you could feel the difference.

Women walked in carrying things on their hearts… and left feeling a little lighter. 🙏

That is exactly why we continue creating these FREE workshops through Revival for Recovery. Healing doesn’t always happen inside four walls. Sometimes it happens in a field, beside a horse, around a fire, or in a conversation with another woman who simply understands.

A huge THANK YOU to Hope in a Horseshoe for opening your hearts and your beautiful space to us and helping create such a meaningful experience.

And to every woman who showed up today — thank you for trusting the process, being vulnerable, supporting one another, and reminding us what happens when women choose to lift each other up instead of letting each other struggle alone.

❤️ YESTERDAY LEFT ME SPEECHLESS. ❤️

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to volunteer at Breathe 379 for Revival for Recovery Inc. and donating my services for Kerry Paradis Photography, and I walked away with a heart that was incredibly full. Thank you to myconnectingchurch.org/ for opening your doors for us. Connecting Church

Sometimes you hear people talk about community.

Yesterday, I got to SEE it. FEEL it. And witness God working right through the middle of it. 🙏

Watching children walk in and get to pick out their own book bags and school supplies was something so special. 🎒✏️📚

Seeing their excitement over choosing the backpack they wanted.

Watching families sit down and eat a meal together.

Seeing the kids finish the day with snowballs, playing on the playground and smiles. 🍧❤️

It sounds simple, but when you’re standing there witnessing it, you realize it is anything but simple.

This is LOVE in action.

The entire Back to School event was so incredibly organized, and every detail felt intentional. There were volunteers everywhere giving their time, serving families, helping children, offering smiles and simply making people feel seen, welcomed and cared for.

And isn’t that what community is supposed to be?

As the founder of Revival for Recovery, I believe so deeply in the power of people helping people. We may serve different populations, have different missions and do things in different ways, but at the end of the day, we are all here to LOVE PEOPLE and remind them they are not alone.

That’s exactly what I witnessed at Breathe 379.

Their mission is simple: “Finding and meeting needs in our communities and beyond.” And yesterday, I watched that mission come to life right in front of me. ❤️

I met so many wonderful people from throughout our community, heard stories, made connections and watched people give without expecting anything in return.

By the end of the day, I was honestly speechless.

Not because there was nothing to say…

But because sometimes when you witness God moving through people, there really aren’t words big enough for it. 🙏

Thank you to everyone at Breathe 379 for allowing me to be a small part of something so special.

Thank you to every volunteer who showed up.

Thank you to every person and business who donated.

And most importantly, thank you for reminding me once again just how much GOOD exists right here in our own community. Bethesda Transformation Center

There is something truly special about the presence of horses. They have an incredible way of helping us slow down, become present, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves. ❤️

Today I celebrate 5 YEARS OF SOBRIETY. 🙏 8.18.21 Sober & Clean from all substances. The girl on the left was lost and the girl on the right has the light back in your eyes. ✨

Five years ago, I begged God to help me. And He did.

These five years haven’t always been easy. I’ve walked through heartbreak, loss, change, disappointment and some incredibly difficult seasons. But I didn’t drink.

I learned how to feel things instead of numb them. I learned how to ask for help, lean on my recovery community, trust God and keep moving forward one day at a time.

The greatest gift of all is my daughters get a sober Mom. ❤️

Alcoholism has affected four generations of women in my family, and I made a decision five years ago that the cycle was going to STOP WITH ME.

Today, I have a life I once couldn’t imagine. I have my daughters, my family, my friends, my recovery community, work that I love, and the privilege of using my story to hopefully help someone else.

To my sponsor Chrissy Oswald, my homegroup, my recovery family, my friends, my family and everyone who has walked beside me,THANK YOU. ❤️

And to anyone struggling today: please don’t give up.

There is hope. There is life on the other side. RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE.
