Danville PD vs FD Charity Game for Mike Stephens Scholarship

On behalf of Danville Police PBPA Unit #11 and Danville Fire Local #429, we are proud to share that we presented Mendy Stephens with a check for $44,000 from the Danville Police Association Charitable Organization to support the Mike Stephens Scholarship Fund at BHRA High School.

This incredible total was made possible because of the generosity of our community, local businesses, sponsors, and everyone who came out to support the event.

Mike’s legacy continues to inspire, and these funds will help ensure his impact lives on through future opportunities for others.

Mike proudly served the community as a Danville Police Officer for 18 years. Mike also was a great coach, co-worker, friend, father, son, and husband. He will truly be missed by all.

Thank you again to all who donated, volunteered, and stood beside us in honoring Mike.

🎉 It’s more than just a ballgame — it’s a full night of fun!

We’ll have bounce houses outside during the game, fireworks after, and live music by Chad Hays to keep the party going! Stick around after the last out to hang with your local Police and Fire Departments — we’ll be hanging out, jamming, and enjoying the night with the community.

We’ve had an amazing response so far for the Mike Stephens Memorial Police vs. Fire Softball Game, and the raffle is shaping up to be something special.

Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals, we’ve already received an incredible mix of items — including things like Cubs tickets, Illini football and basketball tickets, a new grill, photography sessions, comedy show tickets, gift cards, and more.

There are far too many to list without accidentally leaving someone out, but please know how much we appreciate every single donation.
