Exciting things are ahead for the David S. Palmer Arena!
We are proud to announce that Illinois State Senator Faraci presented the David S. Palmer Arena with a $500,000 grant dedicated to infrastructure and facility improvements.
This funding will support much-needed upgrades to arena seating and the addition of a new, versatile 10-sport flooring system, helping modernize the facility and enhance the experience for athletes, spectators, and our community.
It is important to note that these funds are specifically designated for infrastructure and facility improvements and cannot be used toward securing concerts, entertainment, or other events. This investment is focused entirely on improving the arena itself and strengthening its ability to serve our community for years to come.
Alongside these exciting improvements, the arena is also entering a new chapter with a refreshed brand identity and new logo. We are equally proud to unveil a new memorial plaque honoring Mayor David S. Palmer, whose legacy remains an important part of the arena's history.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Senator Faraci for supporting this investment in one of Danville's valued community facilities, and to the many others involved in making this happen.
