Making memories at South Orange County Toastmasters is what we do!!

Last night we got to hear our president speak, who helped clear much of the fog that new members might have on how to navigate the Toastmasters International website. It's crucial that new members know how to access pathways and choose a pathway so the club hits its annual goals!

And how many of you have ever felt nervous in an airplane? We got to hear first hand how someone overcame their fear of flying, and now embraces the opportunity of traveling the world.

Our meetings are always full of fun energy in a judgement free zone where we can grow and learn together. Come to Dana Point, CA at the Dana Point Community House 7pms on Tuesday evenings to see what we're all about!

Hint: it's way better than taco Tuesday or trivia Tuesday.. Toastmaster Tuesday!

Are you living your life to its fullest?
Have you embraced or shied away from AI?

Both these questions require us to examine our fear, and overcoming fears in life was a huge theme of our meeting last night at South Orange County Toastmasters.

With returning members, new guests, and even toastmasters from other clubs, our room and our hearts were full last night after a thought provoking and inspiring meeting.

What do you get when you mix 2 speakers, an experienced Toastmaster, and 1 guest?

Another incredible South Orange County Toastmasters meeting!

'Trust' was the theme of our meeting Tuesday evening, especially trusting in yourself.

We got to hear about a personal healing journey to shed the programming we pick up through our lives, and how crafting a great speech is a lot like cooking a meal.

Our club added 2 new members which means we are officially a Select Distinguished Toastmasters Club!!

Presidents Distinguished, here we come!!

Be Fearless!!

The theme of last night's South Orange County Toastmasters meeting was all about what it means to be a Toastmaster.

Stepping into roles and taking initiative even if you don't have all the answers. Sometimes, that's all it takes, and the further you go the farther you can see.

Both our guests (sisters to boot) won awards and our icebreaker speech was next level!

We love seeing new members and guests win and even as our club goes through changes (officer voting in just 2 short months) we know the culture that's been built will persevere.

"Step up to the plate!!"

It takes courage to do what we do at Toastmasters, and for anyone who is a new member or a guest, it can feel very intimidating.

At South Orange County Toastmasters we work hard to make guests and new members feel welcomed and valued, and TableTopics is always a great way to do this. Both our guests last night participated in TableTopics and both our guests were recognized for it!

You ever have one of those meetings that are filled with so much insight, wisdom, and heart it leaves a serious impression on you?

At South Orange County Toastmasters last night that's exactly the kind of meeting we had.

It was a small group that filled the time with real substance, and that includes the insight given by our area director who paid a visit to our chapter.

We are on track to hit Smedley Distinguished and have member commitments to get there!

Following our clubs successful speech competition last week, we returned to our regular format this week... with a slight twist.

How do you know your club is performing and presenting itself as best as it possibly can?

In what areas can your club improve and what steps would you take to enact those improvements?

We dove deep into these questions during our clubs Moments of Truth with the whole club participating, including 3 guests!
