Kapwa Kultural Center

Kapwa Kultural Center Youth nonprofit focused on career/life skills, culture, and wellness. The grand opening is scheduled for sometime in 2024.

KKC has already been piloting parts of its programming, but is scheduled to move into its new physical space in the Summer of 2022 with a soft launch of partial offerings to happen in Fall 2022.

✨ We’re honored to share that Kapwa Kultural Center was recognized with the Natalie T. Lanam Award, presented by the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County.

A special thank you to our dear friend, Camille Nguyen, for presenting this award and for her continued partnership in supporting our community.

While Christi and Steph accepted this recognition on behalf of KKC, this award reflects the collective efforts of so many people who have helped build and grow this space. To our staff, interns, students, families, community members, partners, volunteers, and supporters. Maraming Salamat for believing in our mission and helping create a place rooted in culture, healing, and connection.

We have something exciting to share! Be among the first to try our new Spam Pandesal and Ube Pandesal sliders at the Kapwa Sweet & Savory Launch!

Join us on July 11 for a special first taste event featuring our newest menu items paired with a signature boba drink. Ticket tiers start at $25 and include a variety of sweet and savory options, with proceeds supporting youth mental health, cultural programming, and community initiatives.

We’re excited to welcome Gemma, our new KKC Café Manager!

You may already know her as the owner of Marley’s Treats, but what we love most is her passion for food, family, and community. As a Bay Area native, mom of three, and small business owner, she understands the importance of creating spaces where people feel welcomed, connected, and cared for.
