Promise Hill Project is pulling up to the 2026 Mount Sterling Community Center Back to School Event and we are bringing something special — our Bags of Love.

Every bag is packed with full-sized personal care products and period products, ready to go home with students and households in need — completely free.

Here is something small you can do this summer that means everything to someone else. 💜

When you check out of your hotel — grab those little bottles. Shampoo. Conditioner. Soap. Lotion. Body wash. Don't leave them behind.

Bring them home and donate them to the Promise Hill Project.

Every single bottle we receive gets bagged up and distributed directly to our unhoused neighbors. Personal care products are not a luxury — they prevent disease, restore dignity, and remind someone that they deserve to feel clean and cared for. 💜

Our incredible volunteer, Maria, recently donated 152 hotel toiletries in one go. Just imagine what we could do if everyone traveling this summer did the same.

This is what empowerment looks like. 💜

In Kenya, Promise Hill Project brought together women and girls from the Maasai and Samburu communities for a moment that was about so much more than a single gathering.

Every woman in that room carries a story. A challenge. And a dream for something more.

Through open discussion, genuine connection, and the simple but powerful act of being seen — those dreams began to feel possible. Confidence grew. Hope was restored. And for many, something shifted that day that cannot be undone.

This is why we show up. Not just with supplies — but with space. Space for women to speak, to be heard, and to believe that their future can look different from their past. 💜

Because when women are empowered, entire communities are transformed.

When a youth-led nonprofit chooses you — two years in a row — that means something. 💜

A massive thank you to — KiTNETiCS — for donating 200 dental kits containing 1,200 dental products to Promise Hill Project. Every single one will be distributed directly to unhoused communities in South Dallas.

KiTNETiCS is a youth-led, volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to packing resource kits for people in need. And the young people behind this organization are doing something truly remarkable.

We had the honor of working with Jessica Zhang — Co-Founder and Youth Leader of KiTNETiCS — and her dedication to this mission is nothing short of inspiring.
Last year hygiene kits. This year dental kits. And we are so grateful for every single one. 💜

In 2019, a private donor came to the Promise Hill Project with a wish — to address the most basic need of life in a big way. 💧

Seven years later, that wish has become reality for 841 people living in impoverished communities in India and Kenya.

Three water well projects. Two continents. One extraordinary human being who believed that clean water — the foundation of all life — should never be a privilege.

Because of this partnership, entire villages now have continual access to clean water, improved sanitation, and better hygiene. Children stay in school. Women no longer walk miles to fetch water. Families stay healthy. Communities thrive.

We went to Kenya to show up for women and girls. What we heard changed us. 💜

22 women and girls from the Maasai and Samburu communities sat with our team in open discussion - a safe space many had never experienced before. They left with food, feminine hygiene products, and a Promise Hill backpack.

But our program leader, Jacque, brought back something that no one can unsee.

Forced marriage. Child marriage. Sexual abuse. Female ge***al mutilation. Forced abortions. Not as distant from their daily reality as stories.
We share this because silence protects the wrong people.

And yet there is light. As communities move toward cities, change is quietly taking root. Some girls are choosing their own futures. Education is beginning to reach places it never has before. 💜

To Jacque - thank you for sitting in that pain, so these women felt heard. Your heart and courage embody the very best of this work.💜
We will keep showing up. We will keep telling the truth.

There is a special kind of generosity that asks for nothing in return. Not even recognition. 💜

We have donors who give quietly and consistently - substantial, meaningful, life-changing amounts - and every time we offer to acknowledge them, they simply say no.

They show up in the background, watching the mission move forward, knowing their contribution is woven into every meal we serve, every kit we pack, every girl who stays in school because of what we do together.

Did you know socks are one of the most requested items by people experiencing homelessness, and one of the least donated?

Not because people don't care. But because most people just don't know.

For someone walking miles every day in the same shoes, a clean pair of socks isn't a luxury. It's protection from infections, blisters, and trench foot. It's warmth on a freezing night. It's a small moment of dignity that says, you haven't been forgotten.

To date, Promise Hill Project has distributed 2,488 pairs of long, thick socks to our unhoused friends. And we're not stopping. 💜
