Little Italy Ottawa Preston Street is known as Corso Italia – the heart of Ottawa’s Little Italy. The area is famous for its Italian heritage and events.

The Preston Street BIA was formed in 1986 by a few ambitious business and property owners with a vision. It’s goal was to improve the Preston Street Area. The Preston BIA is very active in one of Ottawa’s most vibrant communities. Our mandate is to improve, promote and undertake projects that will result in a stronger and more competitive commercial main street or business district. With the City’

s support, we organize, finance and complete local improvements and promotional events. Preston Street, affectionately referred to as “Little Italy” is home to festivals, beautiful street architecture, artworks, boutiques and specialty stores and has become one of Ottawa’s most desirable neighbourhoods. It is a community that those who live or work here are very proud to call home. From humble beginnings… Today, the Preston BIA is steered by a board of directors composed of volunteer business owners and managers who continue to work for its membership and residents.

Join us during the Ottawa Italian Festival on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 for a weekend of soccer fun at the Adult High School soccer field.

Join us on Sunday, June 14 for the 52nd Annual Preston Street Bicycle Races and help kick off the Ottawa Italian Festival with a day of high-energy racing and community spirit.

Watch elite cyclists tackle a thrilling urban course on the south end of Preston Street, featuring tight turns, fast-paced action, and exciting breakaways. With races for women, senior men, and even kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
