Today the Cuthbert Rotary Club was joined by guest speaker Tarris Bivins, City of Cuthbert Police Chief. Chief Bivins spoke to club members about identity theft including common scams and ways to protect yourself and your loved ones. He explained that his office sees this occurring too often and that we should all be more conscious about who we share personal information with.

The Cuthbert Rotary Club was honored to have EMA Director Marlon Coleman speak at our meeting this week about hurricane and tornado preparedness. Director Coleman educated our members about our weather sirens, supplies to have on hand, and emergency escape plans.

Not only did we have Director Coleman join us, but many members of the Cuthbert Fire Department came to support him. We were so happy to see a room full of community members!

The Cuthbert Rotary Club was honored to add two new members over the summer! Mr. Johnny Duckworth, Randolph County Manager, and Mr. Ramel Thomas, Tyson plant manager and Randolph County School Board member.

Their induction ceremony was such as special day as we were blessed to enjoy Mrs. Patricia Goodman’s cooking and hospitality in her beautiful home.

Our wonderful Area Governor, Kenny Phillips, was able to join us and induct our new members. It is always such a special treat to have Mr. Kenny join us and we are so very thankful for his leadership over the years.

We are so excited to add these new members to our club and we look forward to all the 2026-2027 year will bring!

Today we were honored to have Mrs Gay Crowdis & Mr David Crowdis join us and tell us all about their ministry through the Mission Mall.
The Crowdis’s have such a passion for ministry and the story of this “accidental ministry” they’ve created is so very beautiful.

Congratulations to Southwest Georgia STEM Charter Senior, Kyle Crull, on earning the honor of STAR Student and to Ms Cristy Busby for being named as his STAR Teacher.

❤️ Cuthbert Rotary Club recently shared some LOVE this Valentine’s Day to our nursing home residents. ❤️ The club purchased each resident of the Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home a new cozy blanket. Rotary members worked together to label each blanket before they were delivered for the residents to enjoy.

Dr. Murphy gave a fantastic overview of all of the programs and initiatives that RCFC have going on in Randolph County focusing (mostly) on overall health and wellness.

Rotarians Dennis & Debi McDade and Mandy White have enjoyed spending time this month with students at RCES and SGSC reading The Snow Thief as part of the Rotary Reads project. Each student gets their own copy of the book to take home with them to read any time they like. Rotary Reads day is always a special day!! ❤️📚
