Confidence. Camaraderie. Grit. Building strong kids one mile at a time. 🏃🏃‍♀️ Ages K - 8th grade. Based in Forsyth County, Georgia.

Gotta Run Kids is a co-ed youth running program. We offer two programs: 5k program (3rd-8th grade) and 1 mile program (K-2nd grade). The 5k program will develop and encourage children of all running abilities to progress from their current level of fitness to being able to complete a 5k race at the conclusion of the program. By reaching small milestones throughout the course of the program, the children's self-confidence will increase in tandem with their ability to run further distances and improve their times. The 1 Mile club is a 6-week program which incorporates games into running. They finish the session with a 1-mile race.

Another Fast Pace Race 5k in the books and it was a really GREAT way to end the season! There were SO many PRs. It was awesome to see how happy the kids were to see their hard work pay off! It was particularly awesome to watch some of our parents out there pulling the kids on to new PRs! We just love this running community of ours. For many kids, this was their first 5k, for others it was their first race without doing any walking, and for others it was a new PR off an already blistering time! We are so incredibly proud of every single one of them! See you in the winter runners!

Our GRK Juniors finished up their season on Sunday with a 1-Mile race. They did AWESOME! What a fun group of kids - and adults! We hope to see a bunch back at our winter session!

Tuesday marked the end of the Gotta Run Kids food drive - and the kids exceeded ALL EXPECTATIONS! The total food item count (collected for Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries) was 1217!!! This is amazing! The kids really stepped up to help those in need. We were thrilled to be part of teaching them to live generously! We want to say a BIG “thank you” to Thrivent and Big Peach Running Co.- Cu***ng for sponsoring the project!

What a Great way to finish off the Great Strides XC season! Since our State meet was cancelled, we were lucky enough to get a replacement meet at the same state course. The boys took the 1st place trophy home and the girls got 2nd place!! Way to go Great Strides!

Whether your child has never run a step, or whether your child is an experienced runner and wanting to get faster - we have the full range and we meet each runner where they’re at! Our Winter sessions are open for registration! You’d think winter would be a time to stay indoors and hibernate – not for our runners. They absolutely love the winter session! The ever popular Glow Games is definitely on the agenda and I think we will dust off the Hot Chocolate Hustle just for fun! It might sound like it’s all fun in games, but make no mistake, the kids are building endurance and speed. This session will focus more on speed work since track season is on the cards in Spring for many of our runners. Don’t miss out - sign up today!

Our last official race before State was a humdinger! It was SO hot, - and our runners felt its full effects. Regardless, though, the kids raced incredibly well! The girls pulled together as a team and managed to pull off the win! The boys ran incredibly well and took home second place. They narrowly missed first place against a team made up entirely of 8th graders! We were so proud of their race and how they fought for every spot! Next up - State!
