Mike Rizdon has been coming by The DROP and cooking fresh, homemade meals for the young adults we serve. He’s also taken boxes of fresh produce from The Georgia Mountain Food Bank home and turned them into these masterpieces!

It’s one of the many ways our Forsyth County community comes together to make sure young adults facing housing instability have access to good food and the resources they need.

We’re so grateful for the time, talent, and care Mike continues to share with The DROP. Thank you, Mike!

If you see this van rolling around town… yep, that’s us! 👀💚

The DROP has officially hit the road, and we’re pretty excited about our newest addition!

This van is going to help us show up in the community, get where we need to go, and keep doing what we do for the young adults we serve.

And we have to give a huge shoutout to Live More Campervans for bringing the inside to life and 400 Ink for giving the outside a whole new look. We LOVE how it all came together!

Now you’ll be seeing a whole lot more of The DROP out in the community.

If you spot us, you know what to do… wave! 👋

For the past two days, Connie Baxter was in the kitchen making meals for our clients, using fresh produce received from The Georgia Mountain Food Bank. She cooked, assembled, and froze each one so our young adults could have a homemade meal ready when they needed it.

And yes, the pies were a hit! But what means even more to us is the heart behind them.

Connie has a way of showing up for The DROP again and again, always looking for a way to help, give, and make our young adults feel cared for.

That kind of love doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thank you, Connie, for continuing to show up and pour so much of yourself into The DROP. We’re incredibly grateful for you and the difference you make in our community. 💚

More than folders. More than a task. More than a few hours of volunteering. 💚

One of our volunteers recently helped put together intake folders for The DROP, helping us stay organized and ready to welcome the young adults who walk through our doors.

It might seem like a small thing, but it’s these behind-the-scenes moments that help keep The DROP moving!

We are so grateful!

But our team had a pretty exciting interview recently, and we can’t wait for you to see what’s coming.

Stay tuned! 🎤✨

Some nights are about more than just showing up. They’re about coming together, making memories, and knowing your night out is helping someone else, too. 💚

That’s exactly what Saturday night at Blues & Q was all about.

From live music by Pangaea filling the farm to incredible food from A&S Culinary Concepts , craft beer from Cherry Street Brewing , wine from Talk of the Table; Wine and Cheese Boutique + Tasting Room - Cu***ng , bourbon from Legends Distillery , and drinks from Premier Mobile Bartending, LLC , every detail made the evening one to remember.

And then there were the tethered hot air balloon rides, giving guests a whole new view of the night. 🎈

For The DROP, being part of this night meant something even bigger. Proceeds from Blues & Q will provide critical funding to help us continue supporting the young adults who walk through our doors.

We’re so grateful to Forsyth County Community Connection -Ga Family Connection Partnership for bringing our community together, to every vendor and partner who helped make the evening possible, and to everyone who came out and supported the cause.

A great night, a generous community, and an impact that carries far beyond Saturday. That’s something worth celebrating. 💚

Our August Meal Drive is already getting some love! 🙌

A big thank you to Michelle Weiberg for dropping off snacks for our clients! These are the kinds of donations that help keep our fridge and pantry stocked and make sure young adults have food available when they need it.

We’re so grateful to everyone who has already helped us get our Meal Drive going. Every donation helps us provide food while our young adults focus on work, school, housing, and building their next chapter.

Thank you, Michelle, for being part of it! 💚

🏡 Last night, Prodigy Home Improvement LLC joined us for their “Home Ready, Life Prepared” workshop, giving young adults and families practical tips for staying safe, protecting their home, preparing for storms and emergencies, and handling the kinds of things you don’t always learn until you need to know them.

There was learning, there were questions, there were conversations… and, thanks to SOL Tamales in Cu***ng, there were some very good eats, too. 🌮

We’re so grateful to the Prodigy Team for sharing their time and expertise with our community, and bringing Sol Tamales to make sure everyone was fed along the way.

Because sometimes community looks like learning something new, asking a question, sharing a meal, and leaving a little more prepared than when you walked in. 💚

🎶 This Saturday, we’re doing it all again!

Great music, incredible food, hot air balloon rides, and a night that gives back. 💚

Blues & Q is happening this Saturday, August 15, from 6–9 PM at Kinsey Family Farm, with proceeds helping provide critical funding for The DROP.

Come for the Blues & Q. Stay for the community. 🎈
