Full-time Supported Employment Specialist (40 hours per week); grade 5 on the wage continuum (wage range is $22.00 at step 1 - $26.63 at step 12)

This position requires formal education, training, and/or related experience helping people find employment, including experience with helping people secure employment, knowledge of how employment affects benefits, and fiscal literacy. An associate's degree and/or training and experience equivalent to 2 years of working with people with chronic mental illness is required.

You will provide support to people with serious and persistent mental illness who live in Garrett County to help them obtain and maintain employment opportunities of their choice. This support includes transportation to interviews and job sites, etc. When an agency vehicle is not available, you will need to use your personal vehicle to provide these supports. Mileage reimbursement will be provided when using your personal vehicle. There are occasions when you may have to coordinate with supported employment staff in Allegany County as well.

You will teach people about resume writing and interviewing skills. You must have the ability to manage multiple people's employment goals and work placements. You will work closely with DORS, employers, and the person's treatment team. Proficient communication skills are a must.

The typical schedule is as follows, which can be adjusted up to 30 minutes earlier or later for your start and end times. However, you must be flexible with your schedule and provide support earlier or later in the day if support to your individuals requires your presence for interviews, job coaching, or other employment-related supports:

Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, with flexibility

Archway Station, with locations in Cumberland, Maryland (Allegany County) and Oakland, Maryland (Garrett County) is a non-profit agency employing 175+ employees and serving the needs of individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. The team provides mental health services to those with severe and persistent mental illness who do not respond to traditional treatment modalities, meeting people where they are. QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• Formal training equivalent to a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology,
or a similar field. Clinical supervisory experience is desired. You must qualify as a
Licensed Mental Health Professional.

DUTIES
• Strategizes for the service users’ treatment, to provide housing, clinical stability, and
employment.
• Develops outreach and assessment ability to reach all parts of Allegany and Garrett
Counties.
• Provides direct therapeutic services as well as helps to determine best use of time to
provide team development, mental status assessment, intervention, and medication
reviews as well as supporting others in regular sessions with a caseload.
• Participates in a daily team meeting to review all members on caseload and develop
workable strategies for their treatment, to provide housing, clinical stability, and
employment.
• Uses the electronic medical record, inputs data, and follows through seeing services to
their completion.
• Maintains total confidentiality and adheres to HIPPA law, CARF accreditation standards,
Maryland State Regulations, ACT requirements, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by ACT Team Coordinator.

AUTHORITY: Position reports to ACT Team Coordinator and works directly with all intra-agency departments and other community providers.

There is a full-time Payroll & Fiscal Coordinator position available at the agency’s Allegany County location. • Manages payroll tax filings, 401k, garnishments, and year-end processes (Form W-2, Form 941).

There is a full-time (FT) HSW3 position available in the Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult (CAYA) Program. This position includes full-time benefits after completing a successful 60-day probationary period. Good documentation skills and organizational skills are important for the position. You will support youth who have been diagnosed with emotional and/or behavioral challenges who live in the community with their parent(s) or other caregiver(s). The focus is on teaching and prompting skill use as well as resource acquisition. You must be able to effectively communicate with the minor's guardian and treatment team, as well as others that may be involved with the minor. You must also have the skills needed to be able to work independently as well as in group situations and should be comfortable facilitating and participating in group activities.

This position involves being active with the youth (e.g. fishing, playing basketball, walking the canal, etc.). DLA-20 training is required and will be provided to you if you do not have it. Strong documentation skills and the ability to document via the electronic health record are important. You must be comfortable with traveling and going into homes throughout Allegany County, with minimal direct supervision. Reliable transportation is required, and you must be willing to drive your own vehicle when an agency vehicle is not available. Travel reimbursement is provided if you drive your personal vehicle.

The regular schedule for the position is your choice of Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 10:00am to 8:00pm. During the school's summer break, you will work 8:30am - 6:30pm. Also, occasional weekend work may be necessary for special events.
