🚒 🚑 **IAFF LOCAL 1715 ENDORSES CHELSEA BOOR FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER**

Allegany County Emergency Services IAFF Local 1715 is proud to announce that our membership has voted to endorse Chelsea Boor for Allegany County Commissioner.

Chelsea was the only candidate who sought our endorsement, and we appreciate her willingness to engage with our membership, listen to our concerns, and discuss the future of public safety in Allegany County.

Our commitment has always been to the safety of the communities we serve and the paramedics, EMTs, and firefighters who protect them. We believe that meaningful progress comes from elected leaders who are willing to listen, collaborate, and work toward solutions, regardless of political affiliation.

Our endorsement was not given lightly. It was earned.

We thank Chelsea for her continued support of public safety and look forward to working together toward a stronger Allegany County.

Please join us for the fifth annual Mark Blacker Memorial Bingo on Sunday, Nov. 8th, 2026, at the Bowmans Addition Volunteer Fire Station. Proceeds benefit Tri-State Toys for Happiness, an organization that was near and dear to Mark. Mark passed away in 2021 from complications from occupationally related cardiovascular disease. We carry on support of this cause in his memory. We are proud to sponsor a special game this year, with a $ 1,000 prize and a $200 donation to Tri-State Toys for Happiness in the winner's name. 🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Shirts — Orders Open!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and IAFF Local 1715 is proud to once again show our support for those who are fighting, those who have survived, and those we have lost to breast cancer.

All proceeds from the shirt sale will be donated to the WMHS Foundation, allowing our members and supporters to give back locally while helping support the fight against breast cancer.

🎀 ORDER DEADLINE: Tuesday, September 22 at 9:00 AM

Orders must be submitted by the deadline so we can have the shirts ready for October.

Back in Service in partnership with Allegany County Emergency Services IAFF Local 1715 is honored to bring the Frontline Resilience Peer Support Event to our local area!

This event was built specifically for our entire first responder and medical family—career and volunteer firefighters, EMTs/paramedics, law enforcement officers, corrections personnel, nurses, dispatch and your families.

Our work demands a lot, but you don’t have to carry the weight alone. Join us for an impactful session dedicated to mental wellness, peer support, and building lasting resilience both on and off duty.
