🏕️ Fall Campout 2026! 🍂

Our Fall Campout is coming up October 17–18, and we're looking forward to a fun weekend of Scouting, outdoor adventures, and time together as a Pack!

Please register by Thursday, October 15!

Whether you're staying overnight or joining us just for the day, we hope to see you there!

📋 A few reminders:

Registration deadline: October 15

Overnight campers: $15 per person, arrive by 9:00 AM Saturday

Day campers: $10 per person, arrive by 10:00 AM Saturday

Medical Forms A & B are required for everyone attending, including adults and siblings.

📅 Pack 11 Families - Updated Calendar!

Our updated Pack 11 calendar is here! We have a lot happening over the next several months, including den meetings, Pack events, campouts, service projects and plenty of opportunities for our Scouts to get out and have some fun.

🐺🐯 WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS AT A CUB SCOUT DEN MEETING?

If you're new to Scouting, you might be wondering!

Den meetings are where Scouts spend time with kids their own age working toward adventures and rank advancement.

Depending on the week, they might learn first aid, practice outdoor skills, build something, play games, learn about citizenship, go on a hike, work with tools, visit a community organization or prepare for their next camping trip.

The goal isn't sitting in a room listening to adults talk.

It's learning by doing.

That's one of our favorite things about Cub Scouting — sometimes the best lessons happen when the kids don't even realize they're learning.

If your child is in Kindergarten through 5th grade, they can jump in and start having fun with us this fall. New Scouts are welcome throughout the year, and it’s never too late to come check out a den meeting and see what Cub Scouting is all about.

🍿 **POPCORN IS ABOUT MORE THAN POPCORN!**

When a Scout walks up to a neighbor, introduces themselves and asks them to support Scouting, they're learning something.

They're practicing public speaking. Building confidence. Setting goals. Learning responsibility. Handling money. And discovering that sometimes you hear "no" before you hear "yes."

Those are pretty great lessons for a Cub Scout.

And here's another big benefit: **our Scouts keep 38% of their sales toward their Scouting experience!** For families who really embrace the sale, popcorn can cover a significant portion of their Scouting expenses for the year.

🌳🇺🇸 Pack 11 at Coventry’s Liberty Tree Planting!

Pack 11 was proud to be part of today’s Liberty Tree planting here in Coventry, Rhode Island, joining members of our community and local and state officials, including Rhode Island Secretary of State Gregg Amore, for this special Rhode Island 250 event.

A special shoutout to Den 7 Cub Scout Chris S., who did a fantastic job representing Pack 11 and Scouting America by delivering his own remarks during the ceremony!

Thank you to the Town of Coventry, RI for including our Scouts in an event that connects our community with Rhode Island’s history as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. 🇺🇸🌳

What a great weekend for Pack 11 Coventry!

A huge thank you to all of our volunteer leaders who helped make our September campout such a success. From planning and setup to activities, meals, safety, and everything in between, weekends like this only happen because people are willing to give their time to create great experiences for our Scouts and families. 🏕️ PACK 11 CAMPOUT THIS WEEKEND! 🏕️

We’re looking forward to a great weekend camping! A few important reminders before Saturday:

📋 MEDICAL FORMS ARE REQUIRED
If you’re attending the campout or hike — even just for the day — everyone attending must have a medical form on file. This includes Scouts, leaders, parents, grandparents, siblings and any other family members joining us.

If you didn’t turn yours in at Thursday’s meeting, please bring it with you to check-in on Saturday. Once submitted, forms are good for one year.

👉 Forms can be found at Pack11Coventry.org → Resources → Forms.

📍 CHECK-IN
Check-in will be outside the Camp Office next to the parking lot. Remember, Camp has a ONE-WAY road. Follow the loop around camp when leaving rather than trying to exit the way you entered.

👕 WHAT TO WEAR
Class A uniforms are not required for campouts. We encourage Scouts to wear their Pack 11 orange shirt and hat, weather permitting.

🌡️ WEATHER & GEAR
We’re expecting mostly sunny weather Saturday with temperatures in the upper 60s/low 70s, but overnight temperatures could drop into the upper 40s/low 50s. Pack sweatshirts, jackets and warm sleeping gear.

There is also a chance of rain Sunday, so overnight campers should bring rain gear. A contractor/trash bag in the car is also helpful for packing up a wet tent.
