Special Session proposals are open for IIFET 2026!
Special Sessions are a key part of the conference program and we welcome creative ideas on any aspect of fisheries, seafood, or aquaculture economics—including (but not limited to) the topics listed below.
How to Propose a Special Session:
Complete the Special Session submission form by 15 October 2025.
Session Formats
Open Call – Anyone can submit an abstract under your session’s theme. As Session Organizer, you’ll select which accepted abstracts to include.
Invited Speaker – You invite specific authors to submit abstracts and select only those invited papers.
Abstract Review
Invited Speaker sessions: Hosts review all invited abstracts for acceptance or rejection.
Open Call sessions: Hosts must review accepted abstracts to decide which to include and may also help with acceptance/rejection if they wish.
