Today was our day!

For the first time in nearly six months, Giving 365 received more than **500 pounds of fresh produce**—just in time for this weekend’s Mobile Pantry distribution!

We are incredibly grateful to **Veggie Fresh** and the community partner who helped connect this donation with local nonprofit organizations. Because of this generosity, families will receive more fresh, nutritious food in addition to their regular pantry items.

There is a lot more packing to do than usual—but this is the kind of “extra work” we are always thankful to have!

Fresh, healthy food should never be a luxury. When businesses, community organizations, and volunteers work together, we can help more families thrive.

What an incredible example of The Power of Us!

This weekend’s food and backpack distribution was made possible by organizations, donors, and volunteers who came together to care for families in our community.

We are especially grateful to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Just Serve community, and CarMax Norco for their generous donations and support.

We also want to thank every volunteer who helped organize donations, pack backpacks and food bags, prepare supplies, welcome families, and keep the distribution moving. Many additional individuals donated backpacks, school supplies, food, funds, and their time—and every contribution mattered.

Together, we served 69 families, providing food for the week to 272 individuals, while also helping students begin the school year with backpacks and essential school supplies.

Here is just a glimpse of what happens when a community chooses to show up for one another.

What an incredible community!

Because of your generosity, we now have 323 backpacks ready to go, and two amazing organizations are bringing additional donations this week.

Thanks to this incredible community, we're down to just 83 backpacks needed to ensure every registered child receives one.

WOW! Our community is showing up—and the need continues to grow!

Just this morning, we opened our Backpack Giveaway registration districtwide, and the response has been incredible.

In just a few hours, we've already received requests from more than 70 families representing over 150 students who need backpacks to start the new school year.

Every backpack represents more than school supplies. It represents a child walking into class feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

As the requests continue to grow, so does our opportunity to come together as a community.

Back-to-School Hope Starts Here.

Our Giving 365 Backpack Drive continues to grow!

So far, 32 families have registered, representing 67 children who need backpacks filled with school supplies as they prepare to head back to the classroom.

Community looks like this.

Every Saturday we prepare food, set up tables, and welcome families.

This weekend something beautiful happened.

Two of our donors didn't just drop off a donation—they brought donuts to share with the families, stayed to visit, laughed with the children, and spent time building relationships.

Then, when one of our larger families arrived, they quietly handed mom a little extra cash to help.

No cameras.
No fanfare.
Just neighbors caring for neighbors.

This is why Giving 365 exists.

As the need for food assistance continues to grow throughout our community, we've transformed this year's Christmas in July celebration into our Feed a Family Campaign.

Yesterday alone, our Mobile Pantry served 35 families and 165 individuals, including 12 families visiting us for the very first time.

Every week, we continue to meet new neighbors who simply need a helping hand.

Instead of gathering for one evening, we're inviting our entire community to come together throughout the rest of July to help ensure that children, seniors, veterans, and families have food on their tables and hope in their hearts.

This week's Founder Diaries is one of the most personal pieces I've ever written.

Over the past week, I was reminded that caring for others isn't always about fixing every problem. Sometimes it's about showing up, listening, and choosing compassion when life doesn't go as planned.

That lesson doesn't just apply to my family—it is the very reason Giving 365 exists.

Every family we serve has a story. Every caregiver is carrying something we may never fully see. Every act of kindness creates space for hope.
