This summer, something beautiful happened in Kilifi, Kenya — 25 girls at camp received brand‑new dresses sewn with love by the ladies of Dress A Girl Around the World.

For many of these girls, it was the very first time they had a new dress that was truly their own. Their excitement was contagious — smiles, laughter, and pure joy filled the camp as they tried on their beautiful new outfits.

A heartfelt thank you to longtime Tumaini partner Peggy Oquist, who arranged for 100 dresses to bless Tumaini‑sponsored girls. Generosity, hope and dignity were stitched into every seam.

Where did the time go?

For over 25 years , Stanley and Rose Mutunga have poured their hearts, vision and maybe even a little bit of Stanley’s hair 😅 … into building Tumaini International.

Together, they chose hope again and again — and because of that choice, thousands of children have been sponsored, families strengthened, and futures transformed. 🌍💛

No child should be left outside the school gate. A few weeks ago in Kenya, some children at a school we visited were sent home because their families couldn’t pay school fees. The total balance? Just $35 — about $4 per child. That small amount stood between them and three more weeks of meals, learning, and hope.

Unfortunately, Tumaini could not add these children to our sponsorship list at the time. Why? There are more than 100 children are already waiting for sponsorship — some for nearly a year. We cannot give false hope.

This summer, Kilifi came alive with the joy of TuBE Camp!
Over 70 children gathered to play games, sing songs, and dive into lessons on practical Christian living. For many, it was their first time experiencing camp — a safe space to laugh, learn, and grow in faith.

The impact was powerful: kids discovered the difference between facts and feelings, and how both shape their walk with Christ. They left camp encouraged, knowing that faith is built not just on emotions but on the truth of God’s Word.

🎶 “You Put Your Right Foot In…” Some days make you fee like doing the Hokey Pokey!

Tumaini sponsored kids wanted to do is stick their foot and show off their brand‑new canvas shoes! 👟✨

And honestly… who can blame them? When you are lucky enough to one new pair of shoes a year, it is a BIG deal. Through generous donors, Tumaini's canvas shoe distribution is in full swing. Over 1,000 pairs of shoes were distributed to sponsored children.
