During school holidays, many Tumaini students return home to help their families and Irene is a perfect example of the discipline and heart our girls carry with them.

Irene is a focused Grade 11 student. Even while on break, she keeps a thoughtful routine that balances study, responsibility, and rest.

Her day starts early at 5:00 a.m. with quiet study time before she helps clean the house and prepare tea. After the breakfast clean up, she spends time reading storybooks and novels — her favorite way to grow her love for History.

By midday, Irene is preparing lunch for her family and begins her studies again in the afternoon before spending time with friends and relaxing. In the evening, she reviews what she learned that day and helps her mother prepare supper.

Her days are full, but they reflect who she is: disciplined, hopeful, and committed to her future. Students like Irene remind us that learning doesn’t stop when school closes — it simply shifts home.

Agnes is a determined 17‑year‑old in Grade 11 who dreams of joining the military so she can serve and protect her country. She loves English, plays volleyball at school, and works hard to stay focused on her future.

At home, it’s just Agnes and her elderly grandmother. They depend on small‑scale farming on a tiny piece of land, but unpredictable rainfall in Lower Eastern Kenya makes it difficult to grow enough food or cover school fees.

Agnes doesn’t need long‑term sponsorship.
She simply needs someone to bridge the gap for her final two years of high school.

At TuBE (Tumaini Bible Experience) Camp, sponsored kids experience something many have never had before: a place to grow in faith, build friendships, and simply enjoy being kids in a supportive community.

Rising inflation in Kenya has limited our ability to host these camps, but we want to bring them back. You can send a child to camp for just $50. Your gift covers meals, transportation, Bible teaching, games, and all the activities that help kids feel seen, encouraged, connected, and loved by God.

For so many sponsored children, TuBE Camp has been the one place where they feel safe, encouraged, and truly seen. A place to worship, learn, laugh, and simply be kids.

Simon is the kind of student who makes you believe in what’s possible. At 15, he dreams of becoming a lawyer so he can advocate for others. He loves history, plays soccer, and helps care for his family’s goat.

But life in Lower Eastern Kenya is hard. Rainfall is unpredictable, farming is unreliable, and his aunt—who cares for him and his two siblings—has no stable income. School fees are often out of reach.

Simon doesn’t need a sponsor for 10 years. He doesn’t even need five.

He needs someone to walk with him for just two more years—long enough to finish high school and step into the future he’s working so hard for.
