By Grace ~ All things of creation are children of the Father and thus brothers of man… God wants us to help animals, if they need help. Every creature in distress has the same right to be protected. ~ St Francis of Assisi

Wanted to take a moment to express gratitude and thanks to the dedicated volunteers through the years that helped the animals here. We couldn’t achieve anything without your grit and sweaty brows. Pictured is Rodney with little Pepita. Jean, Linda, Phillipa, and Kim have been godsends in this journey, as have Shiloe, Sage, Melissa, Becky, and Roberto. And all others who have come here in support: thank you for all you have done and continue to do for the animals that adore you 💚 we one and all adore you.

May is Burro Awareness Month!, which was started in 2013 by the American Wild Horse Conservation to promote awareness and appreciation for burros in the American Southwest. Burro is the Spanish word for donkey. In the United States, the term "burro" is commonly used to refer to small donkeys or wild donkeys that live west of the Rocky Mountains. Burros are known for their strength and steady nature, and for protecting their herds. Hug Your Favorite Burro this month! ♥️
