On May 9th 2026 at 1:00 pm the Western New York National Cemetery Memorial Council in conjunction with the annual raising of the Avenue of Flags Ceremony. Properly retired over 100 unserviceable United States of America Internment Flags that have been flown at the Western New York National Cemetery. The ashes were collected and handed over to the national cemetery to be added to each new burial.
