This evening upon arriving home from work I immediately noticed something wasn’t right with Karma. She was hiding in her box at the back of her enclosure. Normally she is greeting me front and center asking for a treat.
When I began my cleaning/feeding process she didn’t come out so I offered her a treat, no go. Well now I know something is definitely wrong. I pull her out of her hiding box and notice the left side of her mouth is quite swollen 😞 This is going to not only be painful but will effect her ability to eat. Rabbits need to be eating (hay) consistently to keep their gut moving otherwise things go downhill quick.
In this video you’ll see me feeding her Critical Care (rabbit go to in situations like this) to keep her gut working. We have an appointment with the vet tomorrow for antibiotics.
Now, we may be getting some well needed rain here in Virginia but our bank account is dry as a bone. And well you know Vets aren’t free. We need your help! Every dollar helps. You can donate here or PayPal is even better as it’s immediate. I will find out from the vet in the morning if we can have people call in donations as well.
