I am very proud of Mr. Joseph Watts for competing at the state level in the green hand quiz. Out of more than 5000 kids competing in the contest, he was top 50 in the state. Congratulations Joseph.

We are just one week away from our Copan FFA annual labor auction. Supporters and families we would love for you guys to come out, enjoy a good meal and support our program by bidding on auction items like our kids and some delicious desserts. We can’t run our program without our amazing supporters and our community that’s always there for us.

I want to say thank you to everyone who came out and worked on the barns this last weekend. We had several parents, families, community members who helped us get our barn up and cleaned our show barn getting it ready for our jackpot. Special shoutout to Bear Waltrip for bringing his boom digger! Thank you to everyone and let’s go Hornets!

Tonight we had our Area Opening and closing ceremonies contest and Greenhand contest. These guys have been fighting hard getting top 3 in several contests and representing our chapter to the highest degree. They fought really hard tonight and did very well but we came up a little short to go to state in OCC. However, Joseph Watts got second overall in the Greenhand quiz qualifying him to represent our area and chapter at the state level in Stillwater. Congratulations to Joe!

We had an outstanding Chapter FFA meeting last night with a lot of excitement, leadership building, and great food. Our chapter officers taught these students how to be calm, collective, and responsible during the busy times of the year.

Thank you to the 4-H and for bringing pops and to the community and parents for donating cookies to our meeting. Let’s go Hornets!
