It’s almost that time of year again! We start selling Monday, August 31. Reach out to your local FFA member to buy some Blue And Gold or DJs. Parents orders are due September 11 money and the product will come in on the 21st. One big change everyone is that the chicken tenders are now 2 1/2 pounds instead of 5 pounds and the price is $16. Recently our new Copan FFA Officer team went on their officer retreat to explore this year’s awesome opportunities that we can do for our chapter. Some of the things they discussed are goals as a team as well as goals for our chapter. We are excited to see what this year will hold for Copan FFA!

Last week, the FFA and 4-H teams went to the Big 3 contest. One of the biggest livestock judging contests in the nation. They also had a meats judging competition to go with the big 3 field days this year.

FFA 7th overall in the meats contest with Kahleya Klaus getting 12 overall.

4H getting 4th overall in the meats contest with Seth Davis getting 11th overall in the 4-h division. As well as the 4-H getting 3rd overall stockman team.

Congrats to these hornets. I can’t wait to see them compete throughout the coming year!

Our Copan FFA kids have lost a huge supporter. Donna Forrest was more than just a face in the crowd. To our AG kids she was one they looked for to hug when they had something to celebrate or when they had to experience a defeat, the one they always asked “Is Granny making us cookies?” And even “Did anyone tell Granny about our State Send off?” There is no doubt that Granny ALWAYS had every kids back she came across and we will all miss her deeply.

Our hearts go out to the Forrest/ Donaho Family during this time.

Congrats to our FFA and 4-H livestock teams today who competed at NOC sheep field days. Copan FFA livestock team was 7th overall in the senior division with Noah Crawford getting 12th overall individual. As well as our 4-H team getting 11th overall. Continue to wish our teams goodluck as they continue this week at the Big 3 contest at OSU. Congrats to our hornets!
