All of our ducks LOVE fresh hay day! There’s nothing better than watching them dig, nest, forage, and make a giant mess out of their brand new bedding. 😂💕

But keeping our flock happy, healthy, and cared for takes a lot of time, love, and resources.

This sweet guy was dumped with his brothers further South and unfortunately, by the time he could be rescued, he was the only one left. 💔

The others looked exactly like him beautiful, innocent roosters who never asked to be here.

This is sadly SO common. People buy adorable baby chicks without realizing that some will grow up to be roosters. Once they do, instead of finding them a safe home, many are simply dumped and left to fend for themselves.

Thankfully, this sweet boy is now safe with us. ❤️🐓

He deserved better, and we’re going to make sure he gets it. 🥹

Behind every rescue is a life that deserves a chance. This little one came to us needing help, and now we’re doing everything we can to give them that chance.

It may look like “just a bird” to some people… but to us, it’s a life. A life worth fighting for. ❤️

Rescue isn’t always pretty. It’s messy, exhausting, expensive but every time we see those eyes looking back at us, we know why we keep going.

Every life matters. Every rescue matters. Every helping hand matters. 🫶

Don’t forget to RSVP for our Charity Poker Night at American Legion Post 321 in Cooper City! Join us this Tuesday, August 25th.

Doors open at 6:30 PM, and cards are in the air at 7:00 PM.
We’ve had a lower turnout than we hoped, and we’d truly love to see you there. Whether you’re a seasoned poker player or just looking for a fun night out while supporting wildlife, every seat at the table makes a difference.

Today, we want to remember an incredible woman named Celeste. 💔🕊️🦆

Celeste dedicated her life to helping Muscovy ducks in the Cape Coral area. She rescued, rehabilitated, and cared for so many ducks over the years, giving them love, safety, and a second chance.

Sadly, Celeste passed away yesterday. Her dedication to these animals was truly something special. There are a few genuinely good souls in every community, and Celeste was absolutely one of them. ❤️

When she passed, the last duck in her care was a beautiful girl named Angie.

Angie was rescued, rehabbed, and lovingly cared for by Celeste for more than 10 years. She is blind in one eye and has only one wing, but she is absolutely perfect just the way she is. 🦆❤️

Through the help of Celeste’s son, Angie is now safely situated here with us at Duck Issues, where we will continue to love and care for her.

We just want to say thank you, Celeste. Thank you for all the years you dedicated to these ducks. Thank you for being such an incredible part of the Cape Coral community and for giving Angie a life filled with love.

I may have never had the chance to meet you, Celeste, but I am so grateful for the work you did and the legacy you left behind. ❤️

Our hearts and prayers go out to your family, your friends, and everyone who loved you.

Rest peacefully, Celeste. We hope you’re now reunited with your flock in heaven. 🦆🌈

Three more botulism ducks are in our care. 🦆

A huge thank you to the amazing people who brought these siblings to us and then agreed to take our rescued kittens back to Broward to help us out. That kind of kindness and teamwork means everything.

Thank you as well to our friend Ana and everyone involved in helping make sure these kittens ended up with the best chance possible

Now it’s up to us. Wishing these three a full recovery. 💚
