Today we had a wonderful time visiting JoyRide Center! I invited our friend, Stacie from Project Beacon Texas to visit as well so these two great organizations can work together in helping our autistic community. Two wonderful groups doing fantastic things!!🧡💙🧡💙

Community Assistance Center needs help restocking their pantry! Let’s give them a helping hand!

☀️🍎 Summer Stock is Almost Here! 🍎☀️

As summer approaches, so does our Summer Stock Program and we need your help to make it a success! 🌞

Every Friday for 11 weeks, we will be providing kid-friendly groceries to local families with school-aged children. When school is out, many kids lose access to regular meals or meal programs. Our Summer Stock Program helps bridge that gap.

We’re currently collecting Summer Stock items like:

🥜Peanut butter & 🍓jelly 🍇
🥣Kid-friendly cereal
🥕Canned veggies & fruit 🍎
🥫Easy meals like ravioli & SpaghettiOs
🍪Snacks & 🧃 juice boxes

Today, we were incredibly honored to welcome Lindsey Kasprzak, Founder & President of the Apricity Foundation, to Project Beacon.

The word apricity means the warmth of the sun in winter, and that definition could not describe today any better. Lindsey and the Apricity Foundation brought warmth, hope, encouragement, and generosity into our space with the gift of a $20,000 donation to support the life-changing programs happening at Project Beacon every single day.

Because of partners like Apricity Foundation, we are able to continue creating opportunities, experiences, support systems, and meaningful connections for the individuals and families we serve. Their belief in our mission reminds us that community impact happens when compassionate people choose to invest in others.

Yesterday was a great day visiting two of the organizations we support.
First was Sunny Creek Ranch Horses For Heroes, we saw their new indoor facility where veterans can visit with each other when the weather does what it does here in Texas plus we got to sit down and chat with everyone and hear how much this organization helps them.
Next was Project Beacon Texas. This group is building a community of belonging where adults with autism and other neurodiversities can play, learn, work and live. Through their tailored programs, they will meet you where you are and help you grow to your highest level of appropriate independence.
