I just want to recognize the hard work and dedication of another member of our Chaplain program in the Fayette County jail(the Damascus experience). D-block. Meet Skyler! This young man has had a lifetime of struggles and addiction. He was using heroine and m**h at a young age. His addiction led him to a life of crime. He was incarcerated many times and has overdosed many times. But the Grace of almighty God has pulled him from that pit and place his feet upon a firm foundation in the word of God. A couple years ago he surrendered his life fully to Christ. He has attended inpatient rehabilitation and also outpatient treatment. He is a former resident of the freedom’s house transitional home and a recent graduate of the Pathway to Damascus men’s recovery program in Connersville. This man had been sobor over 2 years now! He has a full time job and is learning to navigate life .he is also a great dad to his precious daughter. And has a heart to help men that are stuck in the same pit he was in. He knows the way out and ain’t afraid to tell it. Jesus Christ is the way! We’re grateful to have him on our team just like we are for everyone of them.
