Join my mom Blanche Gallimore for week 2 of this small group study. This group is designed to help families and community understand addiction and learn ways to support their loved ones in redemption and recovery. We believe Jesus is the answer and He is way, truth, and life. We believe recovery is a work of redemption through the plan of God as revealed in the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe addiction (life controlling issues) is a spiritual stronghold and work of the flesh. It affects whole families and communities. And believe the gospel is also powerful enough to reverse this effect and is able to deliver the individual and save whole families and communities.

I would like to thank all the mothers who came last night to our first meeting. Our lesson was on Comfort we started out in 2 Corintians 1: 3-8 these verses tells us that God is our comfort in all our troubles. Here are some more verses that we read Hebrews 4:15 , Deuteronomy 31:8 Psalms 119:76 , Isaiah 66:13 . God is always there to comfort us all we have to do is trust him with every situation we go through. Dont ever give up Hope for that son , daughter or other family member who may be in addiction grab a hold of the word of God and use it as your weapon and declare they are set free in the name of Jesus i promise if you do that and never give up no matter how long it takes and no matter how bad it may hurt you stand on the word and trust that God is working it all out. i shared with the ladies that when my oldest son was 18 he was sent to a maximum security prison and I found my self in a dark tunnel with no way out fear, anger , depression and many more emotions tormented me. no matter how many times I prayed, went to church I just couldnt get out of this tunnel. You see the enemy would love to keep us bound up and feel hopeless and that no one cares but im here to tell you thats a lie from the pits of hell. I praise God for my obiedient brother in Christ who obeyed the Lord and gave me a piece of paper with Isaiah 40:31 They that wait upon the Lord shall renew thier strength. I held on to that scripture and I fought my way out of that dark tunnel I felt I was in. I took control over every tormented thought that would try to keep me from moving forward. I began to share with others what I was going through and that right there was a big help. The bible says we are made over comers by the word of our testimony and the blood of Jesus Christ. I walked in and out of jails and prison for ten years to see my son its worth every bit of the pain and heartache I went through to see my son where he is today. God will take that pain and give it purpose. I invite you to join us November 13 at 5 pm our next lesson is on Hope . Have a blessed day
