On May 10th, 1976, Ronnie Long was wrongfully arrested in Concord, North Carolina and spent 44 years imprisoned for a crime he did not commit before finally being exonerated on August 27th, 2020.

We recognize this season as LONG SUMMER dedicated to awareness, healing, justice, accountability, and relief for all justice impacted.

From May through August, we will host events, conversations, trainings, resource outreach, and community engagement opportunities. More information coming soon!

We honor Ronnie Long by continuing the fight for dignity, truth, and justice for all.

We’re inviting Black voters, grassroots leaders, and community partners to gather on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the North Carolina Capitol for a day of advocacy, education, and direct engagement with state lawmakers.

This convening centers Black voices across North Carolina and creates space for meaningful dialogue with policymakers on the issues that matter most to our communities — protecting our democracy, defending our rights, and building a future where our communities can thrive.
