Transit Columbus will be tabling at the Green Columbus Earth Day Celebration on Sunday, April 26 at Scioto Audubon Metro Park (400 W Whittier St). It's a free, family-friendly event running 11 AM to 7 PM with 80+ local organizations, live music, food trucks, and more!

We're looking for volunteers to help staff our table, share what Transit Columbus is all about, talk to attendees about how alternative transit can help our climate, and encourage folks to get involved. Shifts are available from 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM.

If you need volunteer hours for work or school, this is a great opportunity! And if you're not able to volunteer, we hope to see you there as an attendee! Stop by and say hi! 👋

🏆 We have a winner!🏆
Columbus has spoken — say hello to your 2026 Best Worst Bus Stop champion: The Ditch of Despair (Stop 7802)

Located at State Rte 161 & Ambleside Dr, Ditch of Despair battled through the bracket with unmatched terribleness and won the hearts (and horror) of voters everywhere. A literal ditch. Inches from 50 mph traffic. Wedged between two roads. Truly iconic in the worst possible way.

But here's the good news — this stop is getting a glow-up. Transit Columbus is committed to making it better for riders, and we need your ideas to do it right.

💬 Drop your suggestions in the comments — what would make Stop 7802 worthy of its riders?

🚨 It's time for the final round of our March Madness Bus Stop Bracket! Our expert analysts, Tom and Tom, are here to bring you the only coverage you need for this tight match-up. 🚨

Which stop is the best WORST bus stop in Columbus? Only you can decide! Cast your vote in the comments to decide the ultimate winner in this year's competition!

The Ditch of Despair features two options when waiting for the bus: stand right next to 50 mph traffic, or slide down a muddy hill into the grass 2+ feet below the pavement and hope the bus sees you! 🏔️ This is Stop 7802 at State Rte 161 & Ambleside Dr.

Hell is, in fact, real and it’s this stop. It features no shade, no nearby pedestrian infrastructure, and proximity to not only one but two highways. We’ll be relocating the famed Hell is Real sign here to enhance the vibes slightly 😈 This is Stop 8079 at Harrisburg Pike & Centerpoint Dr.

Who will take home this year's trophy? 🏆

🚨BUS STOP BRACKET FINAL🚨 VOTING STARTS TOMORROW🚨

Ditch of Despair and Hell is Real handily defeated their opponents in the semifinals to move on to the final round of our Bus Stop Bracket!

Transit Columbus members hit the road this weekend for the Transit for All Organizing Spring Training, hosted by our friends at Pittsburghers for Public Transit and Transit for All PA.

TC folks attended sessions on narrative change, bargaining, disability justice, big tech, and more! They networked with fellow organizers from at least five other states, including our counterparts in Cleveland (Clevelanders for Public Transit).

It was an energizing and inspiring weekend and we're already bringing what we learned back to Columbus!

And of course, we had to check out a funicular on the way out of town!

Big thanks to Stevie, Trevin, D'Laveance, Ben, Zac, and Sarah for repping TC at this event.

Do you live, work, shop, eat, play, or move along the West Broad Street corridor from Downtown to Prairie Township? LinkUS Columbus wants to hear from you about the West Broad Corridor Development!

They want to hear about what you love about your neighborhood, what’s “missing” in terms of services and amenities and what you want your community to look like in the future to provide the framework for this plan!
