The Official Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA)

The Official Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure (GOBA) Ohio’s premier 7-day tour that explores a new region of Ohio’s friendly towns every June. Presented by Outdoor Pursuits. Food is not included.

Safe, family-friendly, and the perfect introduction to extended bicycling. The registration cost includes tent camping, evening entertainment, route markings and support services. T-shirts and other official merchandise are optional. Advance registration is required and space is limited.

Picture it, three weeks from today you’re on GOBA and everyone is on the road - we’re traveling from Norwalk to Shelby!

Your first stop of the day will be in North Fairfield at the fire station. All proceeds from this stop will go toward the North Fairfield Improvement Group. Here they’ll have hearty breakfast options, grab & go snacks, coffee truck, and they even special ordered custom GOBA cookies! The North Fairfield Museum will also be open to tour.
If you’re taking the Adventure Route, your next designated rest stop will be at Shep's Scoops in Greenwich. Here you’ll find everything from sandwiches, to sides, to that sweet treat you’ve been craving.
Everyone’s last rest stop of the day will be in Shiloh fire station. Grab some snacks, refill your water bottles, and head on into Shelby!

In just 3 weeks we kick off GOBA 2026! Once you get settled in, hop on the shuttle (or pedal an easy 3 miles) to the Firelands Music Fest from 4pm to sundown. Here you’ll find great local music, activities for all ages, and plenty of food.

What else?
- GOBA Weekend/+1 riders have 39 and 57 mile options on Saturday. It’s not too late to sign up! https://outdoor-pursuits.org/goba-2/
- Sat ride check-in 7am-9am and Regular GOBA check-in is 12pm-8pm.
- Grab the shuttle from GOBAville and take it downtown Norwalk to explore the area and find some good food.
- The Edison Museum (just a 15 minute drive North) is open 1-5pm on Saturday.

GOBA Weekend Route Preview!

Saturday:
- If you’re taking the shorter route (red), you’ll have designed rest stops at the Oxford Township Park and at the Back to the Wild Nature Preserve. You can choose to turn back to go to camp at the Oxford Township Park for ~22 miles total, or at Back to the Wild for ~39 miles total.
- The longer route (blue) will have designated stops at the Oxford Township Park, Back to the Wild Nature Preserve, and two beautiful stops along the water at the Sandusky Pay Pavilion and Lake front Park in Huron. This route is ~57 miles in total.

Sunday:
-The shorter mileage option (green) is ~35 miles in total. You’ll ride through Milan, the birthplace of Thomas Edison, and have a designated rest stop at Edison Park. Your second and final stop of the day is at the gorgeous Quarry Hill Winery, where you can take a load off and stay a while enjoying the view, a snack, and maybe even a good drink.
- Your longer route option (orange) will take you ~56 miles in total. You’ll also have a stop in Milan at at the Quarry Hill Winery, but in between you’ll have your lunch stop on the lake at Lake front Park in Huron.

GOBA is beyond excited to be partnering with Back To The Wild Wildlife Rescue for GOBA Weekend! All riders Saturday the 20th will ride by their rehabilitation and eduction center (at about mile 16). Here, all by donation benefiting the rescue, you’ll find snacks and drinks, their gift shop stocked with fun goodies, and you can even take a tour of the facility to see some of the amazing animals they’re currently working with.

Ashland (Final Few Days)
We’ll wrap up the week in Ashland with the Ashland BalloonFest, bringing a festive close to the ride. Routes in this area will also feature the region’s well-known barn murals, including a Rest Stop at a 250 barn mural, adding a unique visual element to your final miles.

Wooster (Midweek Stay)
Wooster offers a chance to slow things down and explore. We’ll have optional bus tours into Amish Country, along with opportunities for a local wine tasting or an evening at the Ohio Light Opera. It’s a great mix of riding and off-the-bike experiences.

The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure is less than two months away! Our host towns are gearing up to welcome GOBAville with open arms. Here’s what to expect in each host town:

Norwalk (Opening Weekend, June 20 & 21)
We’ll kick things off with routes heading north toward Lake Erie, giving riders a chance to experience the shoreline early in the week. Along the way, we’ll pass through the historic town of Milan, and on Saturday evening, riders can take in the Firelands Music Festival for a fun, relaxed start to GOBA.
