Food Distribution... Volunteers needed - Shifts below...

We recently purchased 24,000 lbs of non-perishable food and need it assembled into boxes for members on strike and anyone in need. We urgently need help with packing and assembling food boxes—and with spreading the word about our distributions in the area and through your own community.

All volunteering and distributions are being held at the LRC Warehouse, 898 S. Via Lata, Ste N, Colton, CA 92324.

Food Box Assembly (volunteer shifts)
Tuesday, October 27th — 4:00pm–7:00pm
Wednesday, October 28th — 9:00am–11:00am
Wednesday, October 28th — 12:00pm–2:00pm
Wednesday, November 4th — 9:00am–11:00am
Thursday, November 5th — 9:00am–2:00pm
Tuesday, November 17th — 9:00am–11:00am
Tuesday, November 17th — 1:00pm–3:00pm

Food Distribution (volunteer shifts)
Thursday, October 29th — 8:00am–12:00pm
Thursday, November 19th — 8:00am–12:00pm

Nourish & Connect: Food Distribution + Job Pathways for 300 Families

TIME: 9am-1pm
LOCATION: IBEW 440, 1605 Spruce Street, Riverside, CA

First 300 families receive a food box, plus resources on apprenticeships and union careers through our LRC Job Pathfinder webpage.

This is a drive-thru food distribution. Follow the line of cars as you arrive. Food boxes are free — and so is the information about union jobs and apprenticeships.

On April 28th, 2026 Lopez Urban Farm in Pomona, CA we participated in Workers Memorial Day and Womens Committee of Cwa Ninefiveeighteight and members came and volunteered at the booth. Janet Fields Willette Jada Howell.

We stood with UNAC/UHCP on the strikeline at Kaiser Ontario because safe staffing is a community issue across the Inland Empire. Healthcare workers carried us through the pandemic — now they’re fighting for the conditions that keep patients and staff safe.
