In celebration of the year of the horse, the ProRodeo Hall of Fame honors Saddle Bronc horse, Gray Wolfe!
He may have never competed at the NFR, but Gray Wolf left a legacy that shaped generations of rodeo horses.
Owned by the legendary Tooke family, Gray Wolf became one of the most influential sires in rodeo, producing award-winning horses that went on to compete in arenas across North America.
His bloodline can be traced to horses like Lunatic Fringe, Miss Congeniality, Grated Coconut, Challenger, Kloud Gray and many more.
In 1987, three generations of his bloodline made history when Guilty Cat, Challenger and Kloud Gray all earned PRCA honors.
And perhaps the biggest “what if?” in Gray Wolf’s story? The Tooke family nearly sold him for just $30 early in his career. Thankfully, they changed their minds.
That decision helped preserve a bloodline that continues to influence rodeo today.
Gray Wolf didn’t need an NFR buckle to make his mark. His legacy is still bucking today!
