NOT SURE WHAT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE? START HERE

We've heard the testimonies, we've heard from the Word of God, and now comes the harder part: putting it into motion today.

Start by investigating. Is He calling us to a life of ministry within the church, or to a unique ministry to the lost sheep out in the world?

Every one of us is invited to bring our life to Him and ask, "Okay, Lord, what do You want me to do?"

Those questions get specific fast. Who's our ministry field? Who are we supposed to be pouring into, investing in, and trying to help move toward Christ?

There's someone we're supposed to be praying for, someone our unique gifts were given to serve for the sake of Christ.

Clarity comes first, then the decision. At some point we look at His call on our life and say, I'm going to do this.

Whatever the obstacles, whatever the sacrifices, whatever God is calling us to, we embrace that call and we do it.

That's what it sounds like when we finally answer: "Here I am, Lord, send me. I'll go, and I'll do whatever You want." So, what is His calling on your life?

FOUR WAYS TO CHANGE SOMEONE'S LIFE

Serving people rarely looks impressive. It looks like a conversation, a question, an honest word, and a gift you already have.

As we talk to God, call on Him, read His word, and live this life with Him, we get to tell people what He's doing in us. That's teaching. That's discipling. That's serving.

Sometimes it's smaller than that. We take a few minutes out of the day just to check on someone. How are you doing? Haven't seen you in a while. I heard you were sick.

Other times serving means saying the hard thing. We speak a difficult truth from a heart of love, because we want what's best for the person in front of us.

We tend to think loving each other means being nice all the time. Being nice without being honest isn't always biblical. Speaking the truth can hurt, and kindness shapes how we say it.

God handed each of us something to use. Singing, playing an instrument, greeting, cooking, preaching, mentoring, and coaching all serve people inside a church. Those same skills pour into people everywhere else.

Every one of these can be carried out with people inside the church, and with people who'd never walk into one.

They all turn into opportunities. Opportunities for what? For influencing each other toward Christ.
