WHO ARE YOU ACTUALLY ALLOWED TO JUDGE?

Three kinds of judging: a believer in a debatable matter, a believer who's clearly sinning, and someone who isn't a Christian.

Start with the gray areas. When a believer does what our conscience won't allow, we don't judge them, condemn them, or look down on them.

Some things people understand differently. We entrust that person to the Lord, aim for harmony, and keep stumbling blocks out of a brother or sister's way.

The second kind involves a believer clearly sinning. Do we dive in? No. Jesus pointed us to the log in our own eye first.

Sin in our life, sin in our heart, harsh attitudes: we address ours before theirs.

Then we can actually help. We gently challenge them and aim to build them up. Hard conversations are part of loving each other.

Last, the person who isn't a Christian. We pray and share who Christ has been to us, aiming to lead them to Him, not win an argument.

Remember, they already stand condemned. Christ didn't come to condemn them. He came to save them. So, why pile on more?
