Sometimes helping an animal means helping the person who loves them, too. Jacob's story shows how PetCross is changing lives in Colorado Springs, one pet and one person at a time.

The Pet Cross Inc is enjoying a beautiful day in the neighborhood with Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen and Colorado Pet Pantry. Our amazing volunteers joined us in serving several of our unhoused pet owners with veterinary services with special thanks to our Dr Deb whom we kept busy!

On the other side we distributed Pet food and Supplies to over 100 pet owners.

Thank you to so many of our friends for showing up at The Pet Cross Clinic from Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Canon City and Castle Rock. It takes a village and we love ours.

🚨🐾 WE NEED YOU… LIKE, REALLY NEED YOU! 🐾🚨

Are you good with a computer?
Love people? ❤️
Love animals? 🐶🐱
Can keep your cool when things get a little WOOF!? 😂
Then YOU might be exactly who The Pet Cross needs!

The Pet Cross is a FREE, non-surgical veterinary clinic serving unhoused and very low-income pet owners—and our registration team is the very first step in making those veterinary visits happen.

Right now, we are seriously short on volunteers for registration and check-in. 😬

And this isn't just sitting behind a table! You'll be helping:

🐾 Welcome our clients and their pets
🐾 Help with income verification during registration
🐾 Manage the client list
🐾 Enter information into our database
🐾 Help answer questions and keep things moving
🐾 Be a calm, kind face when the clinic gets BUSY!
🐾 Work alongside an amazing team of people who care deeply about pets and their people ❤️

🎉 YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE US YOUR WHOLE DAY!
(Although we wouldn't mind)!

We have SHIFTS available!

🌅 Opening / Welcome Wagger
7:00–11:30 AM

💻 Morning / Client List & Database
7:30–11:30 AM

💻 Afternoon / Client List & Database
11:00 AM–Close

📅 Clinics are generally held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of each month, plus every other month on the 1st Wednesday.

Even a few hours can make a BIG difference. 🙌

We need people who can bring:
💙 Basic computer/data-entry skills
💙 A heart for people AND animals
💙 Patience and flexibility
💙 A willingness to jump in when things get crazy
💙 A good sense of teamwork—and maybe a little sense of humor! 😁

Because here's the truth…

We can have the veterinarian.
We can have the clinic.
We can have the supplies.
But without volunteers at registration, we can't get everyone through the door. 💙

You could be the first smile a client sees.
The person who makes a stressful morning feel a little easier.
The person who helps make sure a pet gets the care they desperately need.

🐾 Come join our pack!

We're not just looking for volunteers.
We're looking for YOU. ❤️

🐾 Every pet deserves a vet.
💙 And we're going to need a whole lot of paws—and people—to make it happen!

🏕️ WAIT… IS THIS A CAMPGROUND?! 😂

Beautiful mountain views. 🌄
Big shady trees. 🌳
A little breeze. 🍃
A peaceful setting. 😌
And plenty of happy dogs hanging around…

Beautiful camping spot, right?!

WRONG! 😂🐾

Welcome to The Pet Cross Free Non-Surgical Veterinary Clinic! 💙🐾

What you’re actually looking at is The Pet Cross FREE Pet Food & Supplies Area! 🎉

And here’s something we want our community to know:

👉 You DO NOT have to be a Pet Cross veterinary client to receive pet food or pet supplies!

If you’re a community pet owner who could use a little boost, come see us. ❤️

Our FREE Pet Food & Supplies Area is available at ALL of our regular Pet Cross clinics (every 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month). So even if your pet doesn't need a veterinary visit, you can still stop by and see what resources we have available.

Because sometimes a bag of food or a few much-needed supplies can make a BIG difference for a family trying to keep their beloved pets happy, healthy, and at home. 🐶🐱❤️

And while we're busy feeding the pets… The People’s Church is busy feeding the people! 🥰

Our regular clinics are hosted at The People’s Church, the church serves FREE lunch to the community—including our clients and our volunteers. 💙

It's one of the things we love about this partnership so much:

🐾 We feed the pets.
🍽️ They feed the people.
❤️ Together, we serve the community.

📍 COME FIND US!

Our clinics at The People’s Church are easiest to access through America the Beautiful Park, 126 Cimino Drive.

The church is located at the corner of Cucharas Street & Cimino Drive in Colorado Springs.

And can we talk about this location for a minute?! 😍

We are incredibly grateful to The People’s Church for continuing to open their doors and their hearts to The Pet Cross. The beautiful trees, mountain views, and protection from the wind create such a peaceful atmosphere for everyone who comes through our doors.

Thank you, The People’s Church, for always being there and supporting us in our mission to care for people and their pets who need a helping hand. 🙏💙

Because this isn't a campground…

It’s a place where people find help, pets find care, lunch gets served, food gets shared, and hope gets a little room to breathe. 🐾❤️

So the next time you see a picture like this and think…

🏕️ “Wow! What a beautiful camping spot!”

Just remember…

WRONG! 😂

It’s The Pet Cross! 🐾✝️💙

Every pet deserves a vet.
