We are incredibly grateful to be one of your benefactors. Because of generous organizations like you, we can continue providing free veterinary services to unhoused and very low-income pet owners who might otherwise have nowhere else to turn.

Your support does so much more than provide veterinary care. For many of the families we serve, their pets are their family, their comfort, and sometimes their only source of unconditional love. By helping keep these pets healthy and with the people who love them, we can also help remove one more barrier for pet owners working toward obtaining and sustaining safe, stable housing.

Just wagging tails, happy purrs, and volunteers changing lives. ❤️

At The Pet Cross, our Pit Crew is the team behind the team. While our veterinarians care for pets, our Pit Crew keeps the entire clinic rolling!

🔧 Set up canopies and tables.
🚛 Unload supplies.
💧 Fill water bowls.
📦 Keep everything organized.
🤝 Jump in wherever help is needed.
🏁 Then help us pack it all up at the end of the day.

Think you've got what it takes?

🐾 You don't need veterinary experience.
🐾 You don't have to lift heavy items alone.
🐾 You just need a servant's heart and a willingness to help.

Whether you can join us for a full shift or as a Pit Crew Floater (flexible hours approximately 7:30 AM–2:30 PM), you'll become part of an amazing family of volunteers making sure every clinic is a success.

The Pet Cross
August 2026 Monthly Calendar

As we welcome August, our hearts are filled with gratitude for another month of serving pets and the people who love them. 💙

Every clinic day is a reminder of why The Pet Cross exists. We see the unwavering bond between people and their pets, and we believe that no one should have to choose between caring for themselves and caring for the companion who brings them hope, comfort, and unconditional love.

This month, our amazing volunteer veterinarians, vet techs, and volunteers will once again come together to provide free veterinary care, pet food, supplies, compassion, and encouragement to our community. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our supporters, donors, community partners, and every volunteer who gives their time and talents to make these clinics happen.

🪽 Under His Wings 💙

Today, as we looked up from our July 22, 2026, clinic, at The Pet Cross mobile veterinary clinic for the unhoused and very low income pet owners, the Colorado sky reminded us of a comforting promise—that even in the busiest moments of serving others, we are never alone.

The clouds seemed to wrap around our clinic like outstretched wings, reminding us of God's love, protection, and faithfulness as we cared for pets and the people who love them.

Every canopy covering represented hope and protection. Every volunteer represented compassion. Dr Lisa, our veterinarian and vet techs shared their gifts. Every client reminded us why we serve.

Whether providing medical care, pet food, supplies, or database and registration services, encouragement, or simply a listening ear, we witnessed countless acts of kindness throughout the day.

Thank you to every volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter who helps make The Pet Cross possible. Together, we're making a difference—one pet, one family, and one act of love at a time.

🐾 Calling All Veterinary Technicians! 🩺💙

We need your help!

Do you have a heart for serving both people and pets? The Pet Cross is looking for compassionate Veterinary Technicians to join our amazing volunteer team!

We provide FREE veterinary care to pets belonging to our unhoused neighbors and very low-income families throughout our community. Every clinic is powered by volunteers who believe that every pet deserves quality care, regardless of their owner's circumstances.

Our clinics are held at The People's Church in America the Beautiful Park in Colorado Springs.

📅 Volunteer Opportunities:
🐾 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of every month (twice a month)
🐾 1st Wednesday of every other month (three times a month)

Whether you can volunteer regularly or just occasionally, all day or just part of the day, your skills can make a life-changing difference for pets and the people who love them.
