Meet Anita. ❤️

Across the Intermountain Division, hope takes many forms. Sometimes, it looks like having someone in your corner when you need it most.

For Anita, The Salvation Army provided support during a difficult chapter and helped her find a path forward.

Today, she’s sharing what that support meant to her, in her own words.
This is what hope looks like.

A Salvation Army Soldier is a committed member of The Salvation Army church who has signed a personal promise of faith called the Soldier's Covenant. We are Christians who have made a commitment to follow Jesus and put our faith into action. We are “Saved to Serve”—sharing God’s love, helping those in need, and serving others without discrimination. ❤️🛡️

In the aftermath of 9/11, Salvation Army volunteers showed up for people who were hurting, afraid, and uncertain about what came next.

They provided practical help while also offering something deeply important: their presence. Simply being there brought comfort and peace to people facing unimaginable circumstances.

25 years later, their example reminds us that showing up for others matters.

Honor their legacy. Show up for your community today: https://volunteer.usawest.org/

I want to share a song for you that God brought to me in my personal worship this morning.
