PIKES PEAK OUTDOOR RECREATION ALLIANCE is an initiative to make the incredible natural and recreation assets of the Pikes Peak area an economic driver for our region. Led by a partnership between the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance and the Colorado Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, Outdoor Industry Lea

ders, businesses, and non-profits. The effort aims to increase our outdoor amenities, create better access to recreational areas, and promote greater participation in outdoor activities. Health and quality of life are now key determining factors in where people and businesses choose to locate. Our outdoor recreation opportunities can compete with any in the country, and are attracting participants from all 50 states and other countries. We are looking for key stakeholders who would like to shape the future of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region creating a unified voice for our community and our most valuable resource-THE OUTDOORS.

Some art just makes you want to get outside. 🏔️

We’re so excited to have this beautiful, one-of-a-kind mountain scene from local artist David Cannon. “Pika-boo” will be in the auction at the Pikes Peak Outdoors Hoedown!

You can also visit him at his studio, located at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts, where you can find more of his incredible work.

Want a chance to take this home? Come bid on it at the PPO Hoedown on September 13 at Bancroft Park. Tickets are just $10!

Come for the art: stay for the line dancing, live music, food trucks, drinks, awards and a whole lot of outdoor community. 🤠
