🎃 Something SPOOKTACULAR is coming to Wild Spirit Ranch!

Join the Mustang Ambassador Program for a full day of mustangs, costumes, community, and fall fun!

Come out and meet the MAP herd, cheer on our riders during the Horse Show, explore the ranch during our Open House, grab something delicious from the food trucks, shop our local vendors, and bring the littles for Trunk or Treat!

We filled quite a few trashbags out at the skills course workday yesterday!

Thank You Linda, Ashley Latta , Debbie Bibb , Cathy O'Boyle, Allison DuVal, and our new horse friends, Hannah and Teresa (who just moved to the area a few months ago) for coming out and lending a helping hand!!

There wasn't a tone of actual trash, which is good, but a bunch of pesky weeds that fill the obstacles and spread their seeds. We assessed some more repairs that need to be made before winter, talked about new directional and obstacle signage on the course, and explained upcoming projects coming up this spring.

As we were packing up to leave, these horse beauties and their peeps showed up to play on the obstacles and head out on a relaxing trail ride around Bear Creek Regional Park.

The weather was great! It sounds like it will cool down a little bit this week in the Pikes Peak Region but still, there's lots of opportunity to get out so.....

Woot, Woot, Workday!

It's around the corner now and we'd love your help at the "2nd Saturday of the Month" Work Morning from 9:30am til Noon.
We're winterizing the skills course this Saturday by doing a bit of maintenance and some repairs to obstacles on the course.

If you can only come for an hour, we'd love to have you!

Our "2nd Saturday of the Month" work morning is this Saturday, October 10th!

We're getting the skills course winterized with a few repairs and basic maintenance.

We bring the tools, you just show up!
Start time is 9:30 am and we'll go til Noon.
If you can only join us for an hour, all hands are helpful!

B**r, Burros, and Sprint Races! ....
Sounds like fun to us!

Our burro friends are hosting a fun event this Saturday!

When: Saturday, October 10th, 11:30am

Both beginners and pros are welcome along with donkeys/burros big and small. Instructions to be provided.
Enter the one-person Donkey Sprint or two-person Donkey Team Sprints, both in heats, finalizing in sprint finals. Join the one-mile course around the Ascent Brewery property, complete with optional b**r refreshment. Top three in each category receive prizes. Each racer receives a gift bag and race charm for your participation.
If this is your first Pack Burro Race and don’t have a donkey, no worries, we have donkeys available with your entry fee. We welcome racers to bring their own donkeys too. Pack saddles are optional and not required for awards. Flat race fee of $50 which covers warm-up parade, sprints ($50, 1 or 2 person) and mile run. Plenty of parking for trailers and spectators with great views of the races. Easy access just off Falcon Hwy near Falcon, CO.

This is a family friendly event. If you’re not a runner, join us for an easy 1/2 mile walk warm-up parade (free to everyone) with our long-eared friends prior to start of the races.

The nice weather in the Pike's Peak Region continues today!
Head on out to Bear Creek Regional Park, Colorado Springs and enjoy the skills course and a nice ride around the park!!

You may run into other trail users so best trail safety practices between everyone are encouraged.

Weekend Ahead!

We dodged the weather and flooding originally forecasted this past week. The weekend looks to be a great one so head on over to Bear Creek Regional Park, Colorado Springs..... check out the skills course and head out on a nice trail ride around the park.

Nearby riding also includes Red Rock Canyon or Garden of the Gods.
