The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs says it entered into an agreement with the Peak Enterprise Zone, allowing any Acacia Park Bandshell donations to be eligible for the Colorado Enterprise Zone Contribution Tax Credit.

The goals of the group are to upgrade the community space in Acacia Park.

Friday, the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs brought the humanitarian impact of the war in Ukraine home to its members with a special panel discussion at the DoubleTree Hotel, featuring leaders from Ukraine Power.

Moderated by Rotarian Holly Flores, president of Ukraine Power's board, the panel included Ed Ward, Marc Luckett, and Yana Malyk, who shared firsthand insight into the continuing needs of Ukrainian civilians, the organization's relief efforts, and practical ways Americans can support communities still recovering from the war.

Ukraine Power was founded to ease suffering in Ukraine by delivering essential equipment and resources to children, students, elderly residents, and internally displaced people — and over its first four years has worked to close gaps in both immediate humanitarian aid and long-term recovery.

A powerful reminder that resilience and recovery are ongoing, and that support from communities like ours makes a real difference.

The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs is hosting the Grand Reveal from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Pioneers Museum on Friday, August 28, 2026.

The event is free and open to the public, and visitors can view the artwork done by local and regional artists.

There will also be food trucks and live music.

This is a family friendly event.
