PFLAG Colorado Springs will participate in the “I Can Be a Philanthropist” program, Saturday, October 17, Library 21C, 10:30-12:00, sponsored by the Pikes Peak Library District Foundation and Give! Pikes Peak Campaign. For kids 7 and older and their families, the day will kick off with story time about philanthropy and continue with hands-on activities and an opportunity for kids to meet local nonprofits like ours. Some of our community outreach opportunities, especially those that take place outside, require setting up and breaking down our canopy. We would like to train a few more volunteers that we can call on to help us with that. Canopy brigade volunteers must be able to lift 30 lbs.
