There will not be a meeting this Saturday, instead we encourage everyone to go to the Denver Bonsai Show this Saturday at the Denver Botanical Gardens.

We will not have a regular
meeting for the month of Sept. The Rocky
Mountain Bonsai club has their show at the
Denver Botanical gardens Saturday the 15th of Septmeber
from 9 am to 5 pm. This will be a great
experience for our small club to see how a show
is put on and set up, and see the great trees in the show for inspiration and for your own collection.
There will be demos and lectures on bonsai
throughout the day. This event is once a year don't miss it!

I thought this was interesting.

This Hiroshima bonsai tree, now in the U.S. National Arboretum, survived the atomic bomb in 1945, but it's history was only revealed in 2001.

June meeting is tonight at 1875 Dublin Blvd. There is going to be a tree sale and auction so if you want to participate you might want to get there at 6:30. Meeting starts at 7 PM. Bring cash or check if you plan on buying trees.
